Time for Windows Update again - and no more warnings from Microsoft
Posted on 15-Jun-2005 10:38 by M Freitas | Tags Filed under: Blog

Yes, it is that time of the month again, when Microsoft releases updates for its Operating Systems and applications. If you have Automatic Update turned on, then your PC will soon download the updates - in my Windows XP Service Pack 2 desktop there were 8 of them (including a Microsoft Outlook filter update). On my Windows Server 2003 (Virtual PC) it was only 6 of them.

It is important to note that home users subscribed to the Microsoft Security Update Alert will no longer receive these e-mails!

As we informed before, Microsoft is making the Security Updates notices available through a RSS feed. There is the option of using MSN Alerts as well, and the Microsoft Security Newsletter is still active.

So go and update your PC now!
