What RSS Reader People Use To Consume Geekzone Feeds
We use Feedburner to enhance our RSS Feeds. The service allows us to know more about our readership using RSS feeds, as well as to reduce the server load a little (not much, since all feed requests still come to our domain first before being redirected).

One interesting thing we are seing here is the balance between different feed readers. As you can see in the image, our main Geekzone RSS is consumed mainly by Newsbreak (22%), Pluck (21.4%), Bloglines (16%), Firefox (5.9%), My Yahoo! (5.6%) and Newsgator (3.6%).

Of course Bloglines and others like NewsIsFree, IFeedYou, and some similar ones are actually sending out one single request to serve many users of the online service.

What is really nice is to see how big is Newsbreak in this mix. It means a lot of people read the Geekzone RSS feed on either a Windows Pocket PC or Windows Mobile Smartphone. Newsbreak is avalable in our Geekzone Software Store, but you can download the Newsbreak Lite free for your personal use (with a 5 feed limit).

Not sure about RSS? Read more about this format.
