I just received my MSDN Connection Platinum Welcome Pack in the mail today. The programme exists in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and Asia Pacific. Not sure about the Americas (North, Central, South) region.
Through the MSDN Connection developers in the Microsoft community will find a place to look for the latest information, solutions and expert advice. Being a member of MSDN Connection allows developers to build closer relationships with Microsoft and industry affiliates, exchange ideas with peers and keep up to date with the latest development trends and technologies.
The programme offers a personalised training roadmap (depending on country I believe), with on-line resources for training. It also provides specific tailored features for professionals, teachers and students.
Once registered users will receive special benefits based on development level:
Bronze: Online MSDN magazine, personalised training roadmap, opportunities to enter MSDN Connection competition;
Silver (open to MCP, User Group atendee): MSDN Welcome pack, personalised Silver card, complimentary MSDN Magazine (at user group meetings), discount to seleted Microsoft events, 20% off Microsoft Press Books in addition to the previous benefits;
Gold (open to MCSD, MCAD, MCT, User Group contributor: personalised MSDN Gold card, discounted training in addition to the previous benefits;
Platinum (by invitation only, Microsot MVP, Regional Directors, User Group president, and industry recognised expert): personalised MSDN Platinum card, invitation to annual Platinum Member Event, speaking opportunities, free entry to selected Microsoft paid events, MSDN magazine delivered, and a 1:1 contact with Microsoft in addition to the previous benefits.
So, what are you waiting for? Check the MSDN Connection site for your country.
