By now you probably have heard of a new Windows Mobile 5.0 release being (slowly) rolled out for some Pocket PC and Smartphone models.
Dubbed AKU2 (for Adaptation Kit Update), it's an intermediary update. This specific release brings some new features, the most important for some people is the new direct push e-mail. With this, and in combination with a Microsoft Exchange Server it's possible to have always on e-mail funtionality on Windows Mobile devices connected through cellular data networks.
The article has some pictures, screenshots and comments on some of the new features, including some of the non-features.
When Microsoft releases an update like this it is really up to the manufacturer to decide what's the final list of features available. It looks like the Bluetooth Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is not included in the K-Jam ROM release. Not surprising, because according to our tests this device didn't show enough CPU power to drive the compression mechanism required for this feature to work properly.
