I will try to make this story short. 3 weeks ago I took my Nokia 7 Plus to a mobile repair shop to have the screen replaced, I was told that they had a spare screen on a different Nokia 7 Plus that they will use as the other owner had not shown up to get it or pay for it. (their screen replacement) I agreed about 3 days later I picked up the mobile ad paid $229 for the repair, I requested an invoice for the job but was told that it would be emailed to me, this never happened, I was only given a small EFT slip of the payment, on closer inspection at home I found that the screen had a white spot on it that could only be seen on a white back ground image, so I took it back to the repair shop and asked for the screen to be fixed (replaced) they agreed.


That was the beginning of last week, since then I have been promised that it will be done on x day and x time and about 4 times now that commitment has not been honored and I've been told the next day, I work up the road and can go on my lunch break so I can pop in easily.


I'm not confrontational but I am truly getting sick of this, if the repair is going to take x amount of time say so and commit to it, is that so much to ask for?


So at this point I am without the mobile and without the $229 and without proof of anything other than my bank statement saying I paid $229 for "something" what are my options?

If you paid with a credit card you could always try a cash back.

Got the mobile back, it still has the spot, the guy says that he replaced the screen but thinks it's the metal frame of the phone that is bent and pushing up against the screen, he gave me an electronic and paper invoice of 6 month warranty on the screen.

He offered to order the frame and replace it for free but I'm done at this point would you press on?
