My name is Jo Pennell and I am an MBA Student at Waikato University.  Currently I am working on a research project based on the use of mobile technology by parents.  I would be very grateful to any one who completes this short online survey.  It takes about 5 mins and is completely anonymous.  The first page of the survey supplies contact details for myself and of my supervisor.

Please find the link below:

Thanking you in advance.

I ran through and completed the survey.

I think you should rename it the "MBA Survey - On the use of Apple mobile devices by Parents"

This fixation on all things Apple as the only way to deliver mobile content is perplexing - it is a small proportion of the addressable market.

Reading between the lines it would seem that you're evaluating whether a mobile application for iPhones and iPod touchs could help parents with some aspect of sending their children to preschool or other group activities.

If you want to genuinely create a useful mobile service for parents then the most accessible method for doing so would be a mobile handset browser based approach - this would work for a significantly larger number of devices, including Apple users.

By the way, I have nothing against the iPhone - it's a great device - it just frustrates me that common sense for mobile application development seems to go out the window with this device.

I agree the poll is a bit bias since your actually saying that appl is the main form of mobile technology use by parents.

Maybe a little bit of research would help as apple isn't a leading mobile technology manufacturer.

Apple is an alright helped the competitors moved their mobiles forward but I don't believe apple is the main and only company to help parents.

I have to agree with the other comments; the stated objective of your survey seems to be at odds with the survey content. Although it is probably a bit late now to go about making any changes.

While I could point out some improvements to your survey the purpose of any study is to learn and one of the best ways to learn is by making your own mistakes.

Best of luck with your study.
