Lately my Nokia 5800 has been screwing up. I bought it in June/July off so not that old at all.

What happens is when I turn it on it freezes on the screen that has a white background and says 'Nokia' (the screen before the hands shake). It will beep and vibrate after a wee while to tell me I have a new voice mail but it is still stuck on the Nokia screen

The way I've found to get around this is to turn the phone off, take out the memory card, turn the phone on, then turn the phone back off, put the memory card back in and it will start and work properly until I turn it off again

Is this an issue with the memory card? I find it very weird that it will start the one time after having started it with no memory card but no other times

Thanks in advance

Possibly a corrupt file on the memory card. If you have a card reader in your computer that will read the card, you could try backing everything up and reformat the card and see if that helps.

I also suspect this will be a problem file of some kind, other S60v5 phones have this problem also.
