Hi, I don't have a laptop.  I only have a Nokia E75 with a smaller screen.

RE: the phones with the std but larger screens.  How viable are they if you  surf the net in the warm lounge for say 1-2hr every day?  I note that a lot of webpages are not designed for mobile devices so on my current phone there is quite a bit of scrolling ....

Cheers.

You could use something like Opera Mini on your E75 or one with a bigger screen. Opera Mini format's the page for mobile devices (all pages are fetched via their servers as well and compressed so pages generally load faster as well). It will still show all the page content, it does however make sure text stays within the screen. Often means a lot of scrolling down but not scroll across the read text. You would go a bit balmy browsing the full wild web on any phone wouldn't ya? :-P
