I've never used Amazon, are prices quoted in USD?
I would rather not have to worry about GST, duty and customs charges, My friend just ordered some astro gear from the US and the value of the item was $550ish and he got stung with about $300 worth of extra charges.

I phoned VB and got someone that sounded like they were in Manilla or similar, they said they cover all shipping and GST etc so at $2728 thats about the best price i'm going to get I think, well thats is the Amazon prices are USD ($2200USD = $2680NZD _+gst)

Prices are in USD. If you buy from any company sending from overseas you will have to pay GST, as the value plus shipping is going to be well over the minimum amount they collect ($400 at 15% = $60 minimum fee they collect).

To give an idea of Amazon speed: we bought a pair of sneakers on Amazon for my wife on Tuesday. The retailer was not "Sold by Amazon" and was sending from Hong Kong. It arrived here on Friday. I ordered a new Kindle on Wednesday, arrived here this morning (Monday). The Kindle was shipped from the USA.

When you buy from Amazon you will see next to an item description "Item sold/fulfilled by Amazon" or "Item sold by [retailer name]". The item sold by Amazon comes out of their own warehouses, the other ones come from their partner retailers. Either way Amazon is the ultimate responsible for the sale and stand behind it.

You need to friend a Canon employee who can buy it via the staff website ;)

I got a 60D + Lens for half retail price and a 60mm Macro lens for about 40% off, depends on the items on how large the discount can be and they are limited on how much they can purchase

No goods and no refund - endorsements below posted on same day ???

As they provided no goods and no refund after many of my attempts to contact them over the last two and a half months, I am making a disputes tribunal claim against them.

Does anyone find it strange that a lot of the positive reviews on TrustPilot are all posted on the same day? (14 March)

As BigNorman provided no goods and no refund after many of my attempts to contact them over the

last two and a half months, I am getting a charge back processed on my credit card.

BigNorman did communicate, and did attempt to refund the money, but my definition of a refund

is that it arrive in my bank account. It is their responsibility to see this happens.
