I have a old medium format film camera.  Where can I get some of these solutions to clean the old seals off?

Cheers.

Lighter fluid or Isopropanol (rubbing alcohol) should do the job

You can get isopropyl alcohol from the chemist - be ready to show photo id when requesting it, and they will probably only sell small amounts to you.

You can also buy it online, very pure and $12 for a litre.  http://www.purenature.co.nz/shop/Cosmetic+Ingredients/Solvents/Isopropyl+Alcohol%3Fsku=IPALTR.html a lot cheaper than buying it from a pharmacy who will probably sell you a tiny bottle for the same price (and not as strong)

Thanks!  That's a much better price than the pharmacy!

Be aware that it evaporates very fast.  I'd recommend pouring a little into a small container and maybe even add a little water to make it easier to work with.  But the stuff is good, I bought a bottle for removing some tree sap from a car and been very happy with it, it has found quite a few other uses around the place, it's a very useful solvent

Many thanks. Just received my bottle (from Pure Nature).  Yes much cheaper than the chemists, Jaycar etc.
