BraaiGuy:

Give it a break ... The op is asking about some feedback for improvements for the website

I am going to have to side with lennon. All he was trying to do was make a very valid point to stop the OP getting shut down. Lennon was never rude, just very helpful. I have to commend him on what a level head he kept. If they OP wanted, he could have just agreed and been done with it. Lennon made a very good point, and was simply trying to help so the OP didn't get into legal troubles.

Only reason i got a little heated was due to the fact his first post and snide comment stating sigh was not needed. I had simply asked for feedback on the website which most have given and i am grateful to, i mentioned nothing about laws and policies. One would be thinking someone raising these types of issues are selling similar products or are connected to a similar type of business.

I am not hear to attack, argue with anyone at all. But thank you to Lennon I have been in touch with Google Android themselves and we are breaking no laws at all by selling these products in the way we are.

They stated,

"Android source code is open, anyone can use it to build any kind of device regardless of being branded or unbranded. However, if a manufacturer wishes to use the Android name with their product, or wants access to Android Market, they must first demonstrate that the device is compatible."

They advised this quote is also on their website. I am awaiting a phone call from Android Developers to confirm what exactly the law states for them and what they expect from someone using their Open Source Software.

In this respects all our products have gone through this compatible process with Google Android. I am assuming the source code can be obtained from google as well and I have asked the Manufacture of our products if this is the case also. I have never said we Manufacture these products, we simply buy in bulk which puts us in the right position to offer these products at such a low cost to customers. We also place our own guarantees on any product we sell

Any laws we are suppose to follow will be followed and should anything we sell not meet any New Zealand or copyright laws then it will not be sold. So i hope that answers and clears Lennon's questions up :)
