I can report that turning it off on the touch screen on our model will keep it off until we turn it back on manually.

Good for you mine has a mind of its own and its not doing anything to my advantage

The obnoxious part is they refuse to take your details off their marketing list after repeated times asking to do so. The number of times somebody different called from HRV was ridiculous.

Their product (as chimera chimed in) marketing is deceptive, they promise free heat. There is no such thing, in fact their V for ventilation ensures that your house will be cooler in winter than when you didn't have the crazy HRV system. If you've ever stayed in a guest bedroom with freezing cold air blowing on your head at 5am you'll understand my sentiment.

This is incorrect you wouldn't feel the cold air blowing on your head as they blow outwards not downwards

further to this HRV works the same way any other Ventilation systems work they all blow cold air at night.

sorry but that statement is 100% incorrect. im sitting about 3m from my DVS vent (its about 1.4m higher than my head) and when its on high power i can fell it no problems.

I also dislike HRV because i was dealing with EES, who is owned by HRV. i submitted an online contact request via their website and that was fine, then i started getting emails from HRV about their products. I questioned them on this and they stated cause they own EES and i submitted the contact us form they can do that. there is zero mention of HRV on EES's website.

I had the EES guy come and have a chat while this was going on and then told HRV that they were essentially spamming (unsolicited emails) and i reported them to the DIA.

I never heard back from the guy about the quote. He wouldn't return my emails, my text messages or my calls.

Have you tried adjusting your set temperature?

The way it is on this pic, it's trying to heat your house (currently 22-deg) with hot ceiling air (28-deg), because the set temperature is 23.

I am 6'6 tall I stand under the vent of our HRV when it's on high I can't feel air hitting my head I can only feel air if I reach up2 it. maybe DVS ones blow the air downwards.

For those of you with the HRV system that has a LCD Screen any idea how long that screen will last given that it's on all the time? Ours is only on a low brightness

I assume it's LCD it could be LED though. There's no way to turn off the screen without actually turning off the entire system.

I can turn mine off. but the difference is it turns itself on again when it feels like it. Like at night I will turn it off and if it is winter in the early morning it will start again and madly pump cold air inside This morning I turned it off at 7am and opened the doors and had the breeze blowing in as it was 25c inside. At lunch time it decided to start again and blow hot air in out of the roof.

HRV off button on the touch screen control panel is more of a sleep thing. it turns it off for 8 hours. they told us this when they installed it.

I have found out that the off button on the control panel turns the system off until we manually turn it back on. the 8 hour time thing is incorrect.

Mine definitely turns it self back on, and it is a pain Maybe we need a firmware update but I bet they want a kings ransom for that
