Hi all,

Look to purchase a wall mountable heater for the hallway of our house to supplement our existing log burner and ducting kit. The log burner is great but there's a period of 2-4 hours in the morning when the fire dies out and the bedrooms begin to cool down. As such I want to add a heater in the hallway outside the three bedrooms with a timer to come on early in the mornings and carry us through till I wake and relight the fire.

Have done some Google'ing and research and found the following options:

Dimplex DTD4W-20

Goldair GPH450

Delonghi HCX3220FTS

Serene S2027

Budget is ~ $300, thus the Noirot range is out of my budget. The Goldair model with Wifi appeals to the geek in me, but I suspect once its configure I'd never touch it again.

At the moment I'm leaning toward the Delonghi because it has fans as I'm a bit dubious about relying purely on convection.

Any models or brands I'm missing / should consider?

Thanks

I have had a lot of quality issues with Goldair heaters, so if it were me I'd be picking the Delonghi or Dimplex. I've never heard of Serene.

Yep, recommend a model with a fan as it can really help distribute heat, and given halls are usually long thin spaces this may be particularly important. Normally you've the ability to turn it off if you want it silent anyway.
