Plastic lawn almost on the same par as plastic flowers. Green painted lawn next? I guess everyone’s idea of beautiful or practical is different. I like my lawn to be real and quite enjoy watching the bees on the clover or daisy weeds in it, maybe not perfect, but natural.

Different strokes for different folks... I can see the appeal of not having to mow it (as someone who has no lawn and never wants one, but loves plants for greenery).

The problem with most artificial surfaces is that the people who install them, believe they are installing a no maintenance solution. When I fact they still require maintenance, perhaps not as much as a real lawn but some maintenance is required.

Without that maintenance they look really poor, really quickly.

If you put artificial grass on the berm then what happens when someone needs to dig it up to access the services? I'm pretty sure the contractors won't replace it for you.

when contractors dug up my berm (more than once, different contractors) , they were happy to leave it in a worse state than before , every time .
Ive had to go & drop a few buckets of dirt to fix the gap the last lot left.
Lets not mention the weeds growing where once was grass

IMO, if you put artificial grass on the berm then someone needs to dig it up!
