I just have YouTube premium as it doubles for music and most news content.. Have Prime Video as well. Have Apple TV as had free couple of months but will cancel once Foundation is finished.

If subscribe to multiple services are also paying for overlap of content, e.g saw An Angel has Fallen on Netflix and Prime Video. Better  value to be watching on a $9 service then a $18 plus in terms of value.

Haven’t paid for Netflix for well over a year now. My Auntie visited for a couple of weeks, she has Netflix with Spark. I watched Wednesday and the second season Warrior Nun (of which I believe like many Netflix series was the last season and not to be continued) Other then those two didn’t think I was missing much by not having it. When she left signed out on my TV.

Will put Disney on for a month soon, a few movies been released since February, and any Star Wars series haven’t seen.

I think Sky/Cable TV is only better for value for live content, best value is to stream most things.

If put interests into just watch, I.e save watch later it also gives the dates shows are leaving so know when on time limit to watch. Or can put in something not available and it will let you know if becomes available.

Going forward plan is Prime on constantly, Youtube constantly, and cycle some others so I’m looking at between $30 and $40 a month.

Youtube is also music and news etc and I have that playing in background when not actively watching TV, but doing other things around house.

With basically no adds, no need to record in advance, watch when it suits, I way prefer todays set up then when it was pay for Sky, or go to the video store to rent something so at present streaming services if done selectively are way better value. I believe they are struggling to make money so we may be in the golden age at moment.

We pay for Netflix standard, Spotify, Youtube premium, Prime and a TV provider. I'm paying for Starzplay for the rugby world cup as they have the local rights and will cancel it afterwards.

We have Prime for amazon delivery, I wouldn't bother for the content.

I actually don't want to think about what we pay - we still have sky, plus we have D+, Prime, NF, A+, Neon, beIN...I can't imagine we get much change from a couple of hundred a month...

With the seemingly never ending string of price increase notifications and an apparent drop in content quality (Netflix we see what you did) my wife wonders if it is worth having these services. She was talking about, shudder, going back to Sky TV.

What do the fine GZ folk think about the viability of these services? We currently subscribe to Apple TV+, Netflix, Prime, YouTube Premium and Disney. We use Just Watch to try and avoid the aimless search for worthy content which frankly is not easy. Oddly we seem to watch more stuff on TVNZ+ even though there App is less than ideal.

I have no idea what the total dollars per month for these services is but it must be creeping towards Sky's cost per month depending on services selected. Reading has become more my thing as content quality diminishes.

Feed back would be most appreciated and no doubt interesting.

I'm a flipper and a binge watcher so tend to subscribe to order then unsubscribe. Just watched the Ted Lasso series and started Hijack on AppleTV. Once I've seen what I want to see on AppleTV I'll probably drop it. There's some stuff on Neon that I will want to watch so might re-subscribe there soon.

It's a real trap - ending up with a number of concurrent subscriptions, some of which you don't use and costing a chunk of money.

The only constant for me is Apple TV+ as its included in my apple one, Ive been REALLY impressed with it to be honest.

Been really enjoying

For all Mankind, Hijack, The afterparty, Mythic quest, Invasion, Servant, Platonic, Silo & Foundation. They ruined Ted Lasso in the 3rd season for me

Funny about Ted Lasso. 1st season I liked. 2nd season was just awful. 3rd season was probably awful but I was numbed to the awfulness by season 2 so didn't seem to mind it so much in S3. They really poured on the treacle, progressive politics and the diversity thing, didn't they?

Was kinda relieved when it was all over.

I was trying to avoid totalling up the amount, you have made me feel better =/- $200pm, I thought mine was expensive. Dammit I forgot Spotify, thats only around $8pm via Spark but I don't use it as I have YouTube premium. That's how they get you, set and forget.

Ouch! Back in the day we could pay off an Auckland mortgage for that!

Is there a Prime TV app for AppleTV? I searched the App Store but get a lot of hits for other Prime things.

The only subscription I have is half price Spotify through Spark - $7.49/month I believe. I'm still salty they forcibly moved me off my "free Spotify" plan but found I was using it enough to justify the expense.

Can't be bothered with anything else.

Just as a matter of interest, is it much of a rigmarole to cancel and rejoin, cancel and rejoin.

Is there an easier way, like suspending use but keeping settings and things?

No that's Amazon but I meant the NZ Prime TV as is on Freeview. I found it ... now called Sky Open, played through the Sky Go app.
