I just have YouTube premium as it doubles for music and most news content.. Have Prime Video as well. Have Apple TV as had free couple of months but will cancel once Foundation is finished.
If subscribe to multiple services are also paying for overlap of content, e.g saw An Angel has Fallen on Netflix and Prime Video. Better value to be watching on a $9 service then a $18 plus in terms of value.
Haven’t paid for Netflix for well over a year now. My Auntie visited for a couple of weeks, she has Netflix with Spark. I watched Wednesday and the second season Warrior Nun (of which I believe like many Netflix series was the last season and not to be continued) Other then those two didn’t think I was missing much by not having it. When she left signed out on my TV.
Will put Disney on for a month soon, a few movies been released since February, and any Star Wars series haven’t seen.
I think Sky/Cable TV is only better for value for live content, best value is to stream most things.
If put interests into just watch, I.e save watch later it also gives the dates shows are leaving so know when on time limit to watch. Or can put in something not available and it will let you know if becomes available.
Going forward plan is Prime on constantly, Youtube constantly, and cycle some others so I’m looking at between $30 and $40 a month.
Youtube is also music and news etc and I have that playing in background when not actively watching TV, but doing other things around house.
With basically no adds, no need to record in advance, watch when it suits, I way prefer todays set up then when it was pay for Sky, or go to the video store to rent something so at present streaming services if done selectively are way better value. I believe they are struggling to make money so we may be in the golden age at moment.
