Interesting. Upgraded the phone from S5 to S7. GPS is now more consistent between the two apps (S-Health and Strava) with the unfortunate consequence that the km's are "longer" than they were, so all my PB's have just become a lot harder to beat.
Oh well, consistency and accuracy is better in the long term.

I had that when I changed from an iphone 4 to an 5s. The 4 (in runkeeper), if it got a degraded GPS signal - it'd never recover. The worst was during a half marathon it pinged from a Wellington cell tower to Eastbourne (about 20 km again as the crow flies across the harbour), and it threw the pace calculations right off. The 52 with the faster processor didn't have this problem. I guess the problem is caused by app developers always developing for the latest phones and making them too cpu hungry for the older models which their app still runs on.

1. Garmin Edge 520 for cycling
2. Garmin fenix 3 for running and swimming
3 all data goes to Garmin connect and Strava
the Edge 520 is probably redundant as the fenix 3 can do cycling as well but still I am reluctant to sell it as it's much nicer than a watch to use on a bike.
the data on garmin connect has a bit more details specially on running and swimming, but I like strava for their segments and the social media perspective.
I've bought cheap kettlebells from the warehouse when they're on special, and have started that and am reducing the running. I use the Steve Maxwell videos, which you can download from onnit.com for around a dollar or two for a set.
The reason I'm cutting down my running, from initially around 70km a week, to around 7km three times a week, is because of the Danish study. Here's a terrible newspaper summary of it. But the gist it mentions, is pretty much the same as analysis I have seen in that it's:
"The dose of running that was most favorable for reducing mortality was jogging 1 to 1.4 hours per week, with no more than three running days per week, at a slow or average pace"
As much as I enjoy running everyday, I suspect that replacing it with other exercise on the off-days, will suit me just fine.
I have just ordered 2 Moov devices and will post feedback after using these. Plan to use these to track my swimming, sleep and walks. Would like to hear from anyone who have used these for swimming.
I do swimming, running and riding, so just use mapmyfitness along with the app on my phone. I don't realtime track my swims, but theoretically I could...hmm maybe I will next time I am out...works well for me as it has all the different sports in one location.
I use Sworkit every next day for exercise/fitness
My feet for walking and my bike for cycling. No GPS units, cellphones or fitness websites for me.
