I think Lime Scooters are great and they have really sparked a cottage industry that was struggling to make real headway - the private scooter sales industry.
After a few Lime rides, I have succumbed myself and now own a scooter of my own, which takes me two KM to the bus station and two KM back, as well as encouraging me to get off the bus earlier and ride two KM to the office along AKL's waterfront...
If this takes off like it has for me, cities around the country could potentially see less cars on the streets during rush hour (although I am painfully aware that it's not convenient for all).
I think the Lime scooters will be 50/50 used properly and abused in Dunners by the students...like pretty much everything. I can see my nephew being one of those that will have a few beers and give it a fang down Castle Street while a lit firework cascades from his bum - and my elderly parents in Mosgiel complaining about the said antics when they read it in the ODT...
