If the polite and courteous avenues to resolve this fail (such as a note under the wiper), see if it has an external control panel or emergency shutdown and shut it down.

I wouldn't suggest shutting it down. What if shutting it down spoils whatever goods the truck is carrying? The person that'll cop it will be the truck driver.
That would be close to vandalism maybe, or at least tampering with someone else's property.
Maybe try the personal approach, actually speak with the truck driver, explain the situation and the noise disruption it is causing and politely ask the driver if there is anywhere else the truck could be parked (near a park\reserve) where the noise won't be so much of an issue.
You might\may even find the driver is more receptive to a personal approach, rather than just someone leaving a note.

Batman:but why would a parked truck make so much noise? is it some ice cream truck or other vending business?

Wouldn't want to get caught doing this. At the very least it's unlawful interference with a motor vehicle. And if it was the trucker who caught you there could be a bit of a scrap - not pleasant unless you like that sort of thing. From the truckers point-of-view it'd be self defence.
Have you actually spoken to the firm involved and [politely] expressed your concerns?

I my opening statement was "If the polite and courteous avenues to resolve this fail..." because being polite and courteous should always be the first option.
Empathy is unfortunately not a universal trait. It is a subtle emotion that is not taught through demonstration. If the response to manners and courtesy is selfishness, then the only way to get a result is to communicate a harsher way (that is why laws are always attached to penalties - to coerce compliance from the selfish). You can almost guarantee in this case a harsh response to selfish act will get results.
Being a liberal door-mat hand-wringer ensures only that you bow out of the human race and leave running the world to the selfish people.
or turn yourself into a criminal......
Hi guys just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone for their advice here. There have been some developments and I'm glad to say that the truck has not been there for the past few week days.
1 - I spoke to the truck driver. I saw which neighbouring property he went into and thought a quick chat might be the simplest solution. There was a bit of a language barrier but he was nice and I think he got the message.
2 - I also posted in a community group on facebook and it seems it was seen by someone in the industry who advised they would also have words with the truck driver.
All in all a happy ending - happy for this thread to be closed off now. Thanks again
