Just wondering how early adopters of their fibre service are getting on.

Were there any installation or initial connection issues?

If any, were they quickly resolved? 

Are you a getting good reliable uninterrupted service with the speeds you were expecting?

How is their backup support?

Is the voice calls option working correctly?

I'm guessing given the lack of help request threads in here that they're tracking ok. The only negative thing I've seen in here is their undisclosed usage of CGNAT.

I've just taken a look a myrepublic -- they look pretty sharp on paper but i wonder how they stack up too. 

Snap are trying to sign people for another 24 months but their prices seem quite high compared to competing products now. 

Myrepublic are cheap but how is the quality?

I applied to move to their service, paid the $bond etc. 

I use their 'chat' service at 2am (because I can't sleep that night) - trying to get an update, but obviously no one is available. This is a week after my application. So I left the message there and receive phone call at 9am and the guy on the phone gave me status update (singaporean accent?).

It seems like UFF could'nt get the move done before labour weekend, and I have to move earlier than expected, our new place don't have fiber yet. So, I have to cancel my account. I use the chat service, told them about the need to cancel. Got back my $bond next morning.

When I signed up I was told service was available in my area. I had to call them to find out that they were in negotiations with the local fibre company to supply service to my area and that it will be installed mid November. I haven't heard anything since and am wondering if I will have to call them to book the install time and date or if I will have to wait till December for the install to happen.

If it wasn't for the fact I get 3 months free I would probably switch provider. Fingers crossed their service is good because I already have doubts about theirs customer service teams ability. (I have my doubts that they are even based in Auckland like they claim)

I was told the same re the mid November switch-over. That was fine with me as had to give notice with other provider. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Looks like they are still in the sign up stage, with not many active connections yet.

Still trying to decide if I will take the plunge to go fibre, before their introductory offer ends on the 14th.

Correct.  Paying for the static IP puts you on a real IP, no CG-NAT.

Yes, not too many active connections.  It can't hurt to sign up. If you don't like it, cancel before the end of the trial, and you are out no money, just the time it takes to sign up, and cancel, which isn't long.  And if you like, you can pay $50 for the $170 RRP router, and keep it.

At this point, because of the time to install, almost everyone on is someone who moved from another provider (already had fibre installed).  The new installs should be hitting soon, if they haven't started already.

The call centre is at the "contact address" listed on the MyRepublic web site.

Yes, I'm cheating.  I'm sitting at that address now, and can see the Customer Service team, and they are all in Auckland.  I'm not sure why you have doubts, but I can assure you they are unfounded.

Rang them 2 or 3 weeks ago.  The address wasn't listed as OK for fiber but the one next door was as the unit was just at the back of it.  Was asked to put in a manual order. 
2 or 3 weeks now the Chorus guy rang us last week for a inspection.  Arrived promtply.  2 days ago they did the outside wiring by themselves.  Today they are going to do the inside wiring and the ONT received a call from Chorus about 10am today for a 12pm visit.  I will report back later when it is all wired up.  The ASUS free router arrived in the mail yesterday.

We went for the fiber Snap for ourselves as we are still on a Snap contract, 6 months go go by signing up another 2yrs they got rid of the 6 months and added 2yrs but it was $95 for 100/20 speed with VOIP.  My Republic is $99 usually with the 3 months free so pretty much the same it is a 3 month free trial and then the 9 months extra for the contract should you go ahead with it after the trial.  My Republic is for another place I am setting up for someone.  I just figured they can try out for 3 months and then reconsider plus also when you account the 3 months for free and then the 9 months paid overall it is a good deal and see if they live up to the hype.
