I believe everybody does similar things to everybody, team under pressure more likely to do that, but not necessarily so. It's just that with all these tv replays you can see more.

Can't agree with that. He comes in from the side and rear, and it is high, but very unlikely to even make the argument for yellow.

Replacement prop Pauliasi Manu spent just three days as an All Black but walked away with a World Cup winner's medal following yesterday's tournament final win over the Wallabies.

Who is that? When they were talking about him, I thought he was an Australian prop and the commentators had misspoken.

If you keeping bringing in new players for injured ones that "left" ... you have to give both players medals?
In the case of this guy he was "potential" cover for Wyatt Crockett. I don't believe they officially replaced Wyatt. But no news doesn't mean didn't happen though.

On the subject of medals, if I were SBW, the kind hearted Muslim, I would (being human) be a bit gutted I gave away my medal to someone who should have been arrested!

Imagine if 80,000 people rushed onto the park ....

Edit. Looks like they found an unused medal at the bottom on the store and gave that to Sonny Bill

Can't agree with that. He comes in from the side and rear, and it is high, but very unlikely to even make the argument for yellow.

So what if Ritchie had of spilled the ball because of it and there was no try, the ref and TMO would of gone back and looked at it in slow motion (which they always do) It would of been a penalty try and a card for sure, there was no attempt at a tackle, dangerous and he'd already been warned earlier.

Pauliasi Manu is a New Zealand rugby union player. Manu is a specialist prop. He plays for the Chiefs in Super Rugby.

No, he wasn't punished for dangerous and illegal play which he obviously did. They would've been without him for ten minutes (or the maybe the rest of the game) we were running hot and starting to pile on the points - could've been a cricket score :)

I apologise for the lack of sophistication in the capture but I don't know of any easy way to capture the video streams from the ITV player which I presume uses Flash. But it has specific patches to stop you from skipping ads so a normal capture program doesn't work easily.

I had never noticed the leg action from Whitelock mentioned before but clearly this ex rugby player felt it was worthy of comment! And on a similar note, what about the high tackles against the AB's that were not penalised at all?

But his main point is incontrovertible - the right team won and his other comment about on another day who know what the result would have been? If you pursue that line then on another day Ben Smith might not have done that high tackle and so the Australians would not have had the opportunity to score 2 tries against 14 men.

The aussie number 3, Sekope Kepu (I wrongly thought it was Sio in an earlier post), earlier also;

Late tackled and head highed Dan Carter (penalised but not carded), and

Took Milner-Scudder down in a headlock tackle just before Nonu's try. If the try hadn't been scored he may have been lucky to escape with only a yellow, considering what had gone before. It made Ben Smith's tackle look minor by comparison. TMO fail in my book.

Look, both teams try to cheat (and, as I said, the one under pressure usually does the cheating), the ABs won. Unfortunately that's the way it goes. If you micro analyse every decision, life is miserable. If it was Wayne Barnes or some other guy who looks out for penalties, I think both teams would have had a lot to answer for, and who knows, the Aussies might get more points. But it didn't. Or the ABs might be playing against 13 men and get a cricket score. But it didn't. So, from the very beginning, as I have said, the referee plays a big role in spotting and not spotting stuff. But will anyone remember? No.
