ludez: Can guarantee daggs inclusion was mainly to get his 50 caps, abs are loyal. Same happened with Jane and mils. Sure he has been in decent form but in reality. Barrett could have played at 15

How can you guarantee this exactly? BB has never started a game at 15 in his life... coming on in the 15/20 mins to make an impact is not the same as starting a test and playing 60-80 minutes there... as BB has said himself.

I would expect we will see BB start a game or three at 15 for the Canes later in the year IF we're out of contention for the finals (which I hope we won't be lol).

They'd do the same as they did for Cory Jane and Nehe M-S to create a positional change - though there's was the other way around of course, FB's shifted to wings.

Watched JS closely in the game against the Landers here a couple of weeks back and he truly was extremely ordinary (ok, he was poor). I remember tweeting during the game he needs to get out of the gym and onto the road. He looks big and slow - not strong and fast which he was a year ago. He can do it, again - I just hope he does.

Also BB is first-five cover, if he had slotted straight into full back they would have needed to bring in bench cover for Cruden.  BB has made that reserve position his own, he his had more impact, better games and been more versatile there for the AB's.  He is destined to remain Bench cover sadly.

ludez: Interested to see what they do with McKenzie, will they try turn him into a 10? Like you say his size is a worry, he's gutsy as hell but that ain't going to stop some big guys like folau etc. Such a talented player, think they might try him on the wing. Really want to see moala come in instead of seta

McKenzie has played all his rugby at 10 until this year - too small to put him in midfield or even on the wing I think where he could get isolated. Wonder if he or Cruden will end up going north... (hands off our Beaudy lol).

But he's played his best rugby at 15? It's clearly his best position. And the 10 jersey is already tied up with Cruden and BB. After Smith our best option at full back is McKenzie. He's showed extremely good defense

He has yet to play a test match so I don't think that is proven yet!

Do you think he could stop George North one on one (I think it would be a little like a Planet hitting a tennis ball)? I would have some doubt. Not saying not possible, but I'd want to see it to believe it.

I believe it will be nearer the end of the year before he plays in the black jersey unless they have an issue with the backline injuries or form. He may play sooner, but Hansen was pretty clear he was a long term project.

Yes I would back him to stop north over dagg too. Since we have seen how good he is on defense, he took naholo perfectly fine

There's only one way to find out ... maybe the third test?

In 2003 you could have made the same argument about Dan Carter and 2nd 5/8. He hasn't played there at a higher level so it's pretty hard to tell.

Well it was nice that the All Blacks won, but a bit rude to present the trophy before game 3.

Wow, the England/Aus game was the definition of a real test match. UnBELIEVABLE defense by England. Mind boggling resolution by them to hold the line.

England are now #2 in the world and Eddie Jones undefeated as Coach of England.

In NZ, I thought that was a pretty decent win to the AB's. Still too many mistakes, but boy does our bench make the difference. Poor Cruden again! BB showed he could do the job for longer, would be pretty surprised if he doesn't start next week.

Dagg had a pretty good game I thought, easily our best under the high ball. I've said it all along, our best 3 for my money would be Savea (when he plays well) Dagg and Ben Smith on the Wing. Daggs kicking is superior. That doesn't make BS a bad choice at FB obviously, but he contributes just as well on the wing. With Cruden most likely out, I'd expect that combo to play. Naholo isn't quite there for my money, his decision making isn't ideal under pressure I don't think.

Edit: I stand corrected, Cruden cleared of serious neck injury, which is fantastic news for him and the AB's. I would, however, say that BB tonight would have given the selectors some reassurance if Cruden isn't quite right.

didn't Dagg miss the first 3 high balls he went for? never got near them. after his try he came good

But pretty sure Ben Smith is picked because he can run the ball back whereas dagg is not as good there. In this match never got anywhere when he ran it back. Kicks were good after the first wobble.

He did. Also BB's first act was to miss a straightforward tackle which from memory led to wales scoring a try and equalizing.

Just different people see games from different perspectives. .
