ludez: Also when I said in that position I meant even in super rugby, even in a struggling super side moala is a key player. I have never rated fekitoa, he is very slack on defense and he was great two years ago as an impact player but now he's not.

edit: (to clarify, this is obviously super rugby)

Funny you should talk about defence,  I was looking at the herald stats page for Fekitoa vs Moala. Fekitoa has had 59 successful tackles (from 82 - 78.1%) where Moala has 37 tackles (from 52 - 77.6%)

allowing for extra game time, Fekitoa tackles once every 16 minutes of game time, and Moala tackles once every 21 minutes of game time. (fekitoa 952 mins, Moala 808 minutes)

It's a lot less tacking than I expected, but I guess there are scrums, lineouts, pens, etc all taking time out of the game

Moala has 15 missed tackles and fekitoa has 23

Yep, just had to take success from total that i had listed.

It's interesting that both centres / 2nd five have similar tackle percentages, I guess it's one of the hardest defensive positions (as opposed to stuff around the ruck etc)

When someone joins the tackle, do they both get credited for a successful tackle? Like wise missed.

You understand it's one of the things that gives us our advantage? Those stat collectors, and the 9 cameras at each game, that someone edits for hansen and co to analyse is part of the reason we are the #1 team in the world.

I certainly hope they don't find something better to do. Stats are AWESOME.

I am anxious about the Chiefs v Crusaders game Friday.

For some reason, the Chiefs seem to have an edge on the Crusaders over the past few years. There have been some thumpings in both directions, but yeah... They seem to get under the Crusaders skin.

I'd have to give the Crusaders the slight edge on form currently. The Chiefs started strongly, but seem a little wobbly, though they did well against Wales (though I honestly think any NZ team could beat Wales on that form).

Happy as a landers fan, but not sure where he fits in.

Osborne, Faddes, Tongia, Naholo, Baker and now Li

will be interesting to see what happens there.(and who goes) Buckman will be back next year also.

Osborne is off the Japan, which I thought was only the off-season, as he was signed until end of 2017, but maybe he'll just extend that. Who knows, he might end up with the Sunwolves. I suspect Tongia will be gone, and Baker will get no more opportunities.

Anyone know who the Crusaders are fielding as a team ? I can't find anything on their social media or in general media. Found the Chiefs.

Wow what a poor performance by the Crusaders, worst I can recall in recent memory. Decision making, execution, handling errors. Hopefully it's sorted for next week.

Well done Chiefs.

Well, lucky the landers were playing a pretty average team. If they put that first half against 80% of the other teams in the comp they'd get punished. Just dropped ball after dropped ball. Had to go watch the game in the lounge as the wife was annoyed at my yelling at the TV in the bedroom :)

When the Kings got within 2 points with 63 gone,in their last home game (and farewell for 9 players), I was a bit nervous. If it wasn't for Osborne cleaning up a chargedown bouncing around the in goal millimeters in front of a kings player 2 minutes later the result may have been different

The boys managed to get back into the game, and  score 28 unanswered points in the final 15 minutes.

Osborne made a difference when he came on, but not as much as Pryor (who came on for concussion to Shane Christie - at halftime?)

I guess it wasn't too bad to blood 2 new halfbacks, and a new 1st five (but playing at centre maybe)

Oh well- 5 points which we needed, a lot  to work on before facing that Jags pack who tore the bulls apart. Interesting to see the makeup of that squad with the 4 players flying back to NZ (banks, christie, squire, leinert-brown) and to see how they recover for what looks like an important final round game vs Chiefs.
