joker97: It's not whether they will win but by how much more than 21
I would be very surprised if they put together as hopeless performance as last week, and we have a below-strength team with some players in unfamiliar positions. It will be a game of kick and chase, so it will be interesting to see how we go with BS and ID under the high ball. If we do the same expect to be seeing a lot more Folou running at us.
joker97: Is it me or Australia seems to have pulled out random names to get to 15? They have no rugby players to pick from to make a squad. They need to work on that.... It's going to get worse over time not better.
I guess unlike in NZ where there is a good reason to play Rugby, ARU is such a mess that if you are picking a sport, are you going to pick Rugby with the current crop of players and leadership.
I think Cheika is an OK coach, not as good as people seem to think, but I don't think he has as much to pick from as we do.
They need Rugby competitions below SR and a proper structure to bring new players through. England and SA do a much better job of this, so their internationals are much better players.
There's a big game in Wellington tomorrow! I can tell as the heavy rain has just started (I'm sitting across the road from the stadium)
It is supposed to rain for quite a bit of tomorrow, but stop after 6pm. I hope it does. That concourse & stadium is horrid in the wet.
That was a little more like it from Australia, but convincingly shows why NZ will beat Australia 99% of the time in Rugby.
Cheika obviously wanted more aggression and boy did the Wallabies bring it in true Aussie fashion. I mentioned to someone prior to the game it might be the case, and I expected them to pick on Coles which they sure did! He nearly took the bait.
This doesn't look great

Though it would be exceptionally bizarre to be trying that on right in shot of the ref.
ALB looked pretty good at 12 and Dagg showed some nice work at Wing.
Nice to see JS score again, he did well there, not so much elsewhere, but the AB's don't seem to be employing him as much right now, not sure if it's intentional.
I thought the Wallabies were a little hard done by in some of the calls, and didn't think the ref had a particularly good game, though not much would have made the difference.
Moore needs to go, he hasn't had a good year and it seems he is offside with the refs from the moment he opens his mouth.
For me Cruden isn't playing super sub very well, he doesn't look that comfortable out there.
I thought the AB's more than handled the physicality of the Wallabies, there were some bone crunching tackles.
Nearly every AB match there is a clown doing something really dodgy. Not restricted to ABs I guess. But no idea why, maybe that's the nature of contact sport ...

And no sighting for Franks.
I think that is strange. You can't tackle around the head, can't touch the head on the ground, or clean out in the around the neck / head region.
But apparently, when it's a maul you can put your hands all over the face / head / neck of the opposition. Maybe they just need to change the laws to show that is not acceptable.
I don't think he was trying to gouge eyes etc, just pulling the maul forward and putting his off his task of slowing our progress / getting through the maul to the ball carrier, but the risk is there.
I though that yellow for the charge on Ben Smith was a little soft. (silly move from the player, but still soft from the ref) Penalty would have sufficed.
Is it just me or do the new AB's, i.e. with many older top players gone, seem better? Younger, faster, just as skilled? Taking into account they cannot be gelling as well as they could given the new team, it bodes well. Maybe should have happened a lot sooner, we seemed to keep the old guard for the sake of it. Finally Barrett played more then the last 20

I would suggest perhaps they have not been tested properly. But there is no one to test them ... maybe England? Or are they a flash in the pan ...
joker97: Shoulder charge is a yellow card offense. Not sure why failed eye gouging attempt is not an offense. Our tight five are notoriously dirty.
I'm sorry what? Examples please?

Dirty tactics are written all over the internet by non NZ sites, just search, but I did my search and yes those articles are few and far between. Also some on youtube, also few and far between. I can't find anything written about tight five other than Dane Coles' temper in the past. So that must just be my own observations, sorry. I am referring to the props (other than Faumuina) and Sam Whitelock ... very cynical, again my observation. Cannot recall them all but the one that sticks in my head is Sam's trip on ?Adam Ashley Cooper on a promising counter that led to "that try" by BB at the RWC final.
I do recall when the tide was the other direction, when the Aussies were holding the upper hand, they were also pretty dodgy, but I was too young to appreciate that ... I think it happens in all sports.
