I am literally floored by this. When the AB's lose, we hate on them and criticise the hell out of EVERY aspect, coaching, individual players, we dissect every play in slow motion etc.

When we play well and kill the opposition we are critical because it's not exciting enough.

I am LOVING this AB's side and really enjoying the skills on show, as far as I am concerned, I'm completely happy for us to win every game by 20 points. I don't enjoy contests that are super tight because I am on the edge of my seat for every play. I don't mind feeling like that sometimes.

We are playing Italy and the USA, they shouldn't be tight, the rest of the years tests should be pretty straight forward.

i think i'm just getting old and grumpy

From what I see we are either playing low ranked sides, or high ranked sides who are all in a slump.

Well it's a little bit of that, but to be fair, the AB's are probably playing some of the best Rugby I've ever seen. The skill levels ball to hand, are simply spectacular. There are often times I am watching and I can't see where the ball got transferred. So few errors are made despite that lightning quick transfer and the awareness and expectation of players being in support is outstanding.

I haven't yesterdays game or the one before, as I got tired of the media hype with small teams or off form teams , but I will watch SA.

I do want them to be like the AB's often are but its a bit ugh when they get hypod up so much when they win over small and off form teams.

I think the first 50 minutes was really worth watching if you want to see skills in play.

I do feel a little sorry for McKenzie. When he came on they were so far ahead there was an opportunity for him to shine because of his style of play. However the way they rejigged the backline by removing Crotty, moving Leinert-Brown in one, and moving Ben Smith (arguably the best Fullback/Wing hybrid in the world) into Centre, effectively broke the backline. That, combined with Moody's binning, meant the game became defensive and while McKenzie is courageous, he is also small (relatively).
In the future the ABs will face occasions where, through injury replacement, they need to play with a broken backline. At that time they will need for things to click and for McKenzie to step up, in much the same way as Barrett did until his time to be number one arrived.

I don't remember Barrett's first test, but I am not worried about McKenzie in his first test at 21 years of age. He got involved, helped set up a try-scoring opportunity for Julian Savea (who lost the ball going for the line) and on defence was actually pretty good, other than where he slipped on the cross kick where they got lucky with the bounce of the ball.

I lost some respect for the Argentinians as a result of their soccer dive tactics, though. Very frustrating. I guess it works... but really? It happened a couple of times but the one where Dixon went to make a tackle and the guy passed the ball at around 81 minutes was pretty blatant.

I thought the game exposed the weakest part of McKenzies play. He's so difficult to catch that he's also difficult to follow, back-up and support. I saw that a lot in Super Rugby: either McKenzie breaks right through or fails spectacularly. He's exposed if it all turns to custard. The other team then has an opportunity because he's left a hole in the back three. Test teams should be more capable to take advantage of a weakness.

On balance he's probably more valuable in than out but do the All Blacks want the play to be that unstructured?

Hmm I thought it would happen. Julian Savea has been dropped from the matchday 23. I thought his failure to score tries because of basic errors (ball in the wrong hand is school boy error stuff).

Matt Todd at 7 is a nice surprise. He's a really under-rated player. I am thinking he will be used to grind down the opposition before Savea jumps in and throws in fresh hard running legs.

ALB gets the nod @ 13.

ID and BS are both on 56 tests.

I could care less about what he does in his own time, though his use of a disabled toilet is poor form. The issue for me other than the choice of bathroom, is the fact he did it whilst "on duty" and wearing official clothing.

It's ALMOST a sackable offense. More likely a BIG fine and sits the rest of the AB's games out this year.

I thought TKB had a MUCH faster and more accurate passing game than TJP. TJP almost seems ponderous compared to the other two. His other attributes are obviously good, but I did notice the speed of passes.

Its certainly not worth all the attention its getting. Let his employers deal with it and not some public kangaroo court. This story is more one for the womens magazines than headline news.

He is an amazing sportsman..top of his game world wide. He is really a kid under massive pressures and yes he did screw up....but its really between him and his employers now, not the media. The actions today of the media is really punishment itself. His actions are not even in a similar vein to recent unsavory rugby issues, yet he is going to suffer the most.

Also amazing that someone actually was filming with their phones in a public toilet..............

It was a huge mistake and its not a media beatup. He's a well known sportsperson and was in rugby gear, in public, representing the All Blacks.

He's been sent home by the whole team and management and a one game suspension. His bigger issue is not any embarrassment, but the effect on his girlfriend, and their families. The pity I have is that rugby is getting unsavoury headlines. The Chiefs, the thug, and now Aaron. The pity is that there are many AB's who hold the jersey dear to their heart, and these behaviours affect each and every one of them. The public will see a culture going on here, and that really does need to stop. He will be clean as a whistle from now on, and I hope that unlike the other two incidents I mentioned, the public back him once he's back on the field. The interview tonight showed him in a good light.

Are those incidents a deviation of the norms of society or a reflection of society itself? If it's a reflection of society then really why are society casting stones. Can't have their cakes and eat them too.

Remember these are people who say there is no need for morals, good and evil, god and satan; just pure animals. They then raise them on a pedestal, make them their alpha males and suddenly they are not allowed to do certain things. Makes absolutely no sense.
