Wow! 18 Consecutive Test Matches! Well done AB's.

Even with the Wallabies questionably disallowed try, 27 points against a team who was competitive for quite long periods of the game, is really not for nothing!

Nice to see JS in his tackle busting best form. Love it. Crotty had an OUTSTANDING game, him and ALB look concrete at Centre.

Yes, well done. But I am a bit tired of the AB's being treated like Messiahs. They arent. Match them against past AB sides they will get pummelled. All year they have played low ranked sides, and won as expected, and played high ranked sides who are all playing like rubbish.

Oz 15-10 down at 50 minutes after a lost legal try? We got luck after that, took advantage of that, but its luck, not skill. Its great that we are playing fine, and our main opponents are playing much less than fine.

Sad to be so negative..

Lets take the win as we should and celebrate a great side.

I highly doubt the ABs of the past would even come close. The current skill levels and fitness levels are far superior to that of the past. The likes of Coles and Reid are doing what Wilson and Cullen used to do is terms of running lines and offloads. 1-15 all have exceptional skills and would totally run all over past teams.

The fact that our current run of 18 includes a World Cup and Four nations is an indication that we're not just playing low ranked sides. We haven't played England who apparently will be the only ones coming close. The fact is, you can't just say "oh the All Blacks are winning because everyone else is useless". That argument went out the window a long time ago.

You say we have luck. Aussie were lucky that Foley wasn't pinged for grabbing Coles' arm during his disallowed try. I do agree that they were robbed of that try. Stuff happens though. The last 15 minutes saw us score 20 points none of which was by luck. Again superior fitness and skill levels across all 22 players is what won us that game. Doesn't matter if it all happened in the last 15 minutes. A game doesn't last 65 minutes.

Which AB's team are you referring to that would pummel this team? It's disappointing to see such a poor reaction to a fantastic record.

It's not our fault that teams can't compete with us.

What would you have been happy with ? 250 nil?

Both teams are their nation's best and they did their best to compete with us, but to suggest a lack of skill, I am really unsure what game you are watching. Some of the passes tonight were unbelievable.

Thing about luck us.. The harder you play, the luckier you get, and I'd have to say, to suggest an 18 test match lucky streak, perhaps they should buy lotto tickets.

Negative, or real? Its a good side, how good, no one knows as the current teams in the top tier of international rugby are not playng well. Its great that we got the record, but against top tier teams that are not playing well, its a bit of a slam dunk. Give me a run of winning games when Oz, ENG, SA are all playing great rugby, then I'll be happy. But until then I do find the messiah attitude a bit unjustified. Its the other teams issues if they cant get to a true top tier side level, and we just win as we don't have a lack lustre team. Thats great, but to me its not a fair guide as to how good this team really is.

I have no idea where you get the idea of a "messiah attitude" from. There was no large group of people crying out for a saviour. Nor is there any one person holding themselves up, or being held up by others, as the "messiah".

I just watched the Wallabies playing good rugby and being run down by desperate defence, thwarted by great anticipation, and rushed into making mistakes. In any other era we wouldn't be saying that they played badly.

The All Blacks are winning games in a similar way they did with a other good teams over the last two decades. Absorb the pressure, attempt to dominate, and build up points when their opponents tire and make more mistakes. The game last night might have continued to be quite close but the Wallabies ran out of steam.

So is the disallowed Wallaby try correctly disallowed or not. My reaction to the match depends on that. If no then I feel the Wallabies were robbed of the chance to contest the win in the final quarter.

From the laws of the game

10.1 Obstruction
(c) Blocking the tackler.
A player must not intentionally move or stand in a position that prevents an opponent from tackling a ball carrier.
Sanction: Penalty kick

There was definitely an intentional movement there, but did it prevent a tackle? We'll never know but I don't think savea was going to catch him.

Because this is the best team ever apparently. I read this morning it's the best team in 50 years. Really?

I don't know how good they are but the other top teams aren't playing very good rugby.

For the first time we sat at the end of Eden Park rather than on the side. Unsurprisingly it gave a different perspective on the game. What was clearly evident was the ABs defensive patterns. I believe it was their ferocious defence that set the platform for the win. The Wallabies played well, and had they brought that sort of game against England they wouldn't have been whitewashed.
As far as the officiating went, how is it that the ABs are penalised after the Wallabies try was scored but they didn't even revisit Retallick being polaxed and knocked flat on his back by an elbow in an incident that was nowhere near the play. I thought I heard Nigel Owens say "nothing in it" or words to that effect, but am unsure whether it referred to that action or not. Maybe it was forgotten because the ABs scored about two minutes later. But for Retallick to get laid out flat, something must have happened and I will be surprised if he doesn't undergo a concussion protocol this week.

The booing of Cooper is pathetic and boorish. It was interesting to note that while it was loud when he ran on, it quickly died down as each progressive play went on. In fact the most consistent jeering was reserved for every time Michael Cheika's face appeared on the big screen. And I see he hasn't indeared himself with some very Trump-esk off-topic comments at the after match press conference (blaming the media and the bugging incident that happened in August). Fancy suggesting the NZRFU and the NZ Herald (shabby little tabloid) were one and the same. If that was really the case why are they always front and centering every little incident that happened to involve rugby players? If he had had a go at the officials, that would have been understandable, but boy does that guy need some media training!

That's definitely not the rule applied, there was no tackle, it was 2 people running into each other with a gold shirt jostling with a black shirt. Rugby is a contact sport so you can't just say no running into each other, please line up and take your turn.

There must be another rule about running lines.

It definitely is the law. It was one guy changing his running line to block the other guy. He didn't need to do it, as it was very unlikely Savea would have been able to make an effective tackle, which is why the call was questionable.

Aussie had lots of ball in good attacking position after their disallowed try. The Aussie disallowed try was at 45m.

They had the ball at 49m inside our 22 on attack and looked pretty good. They got a penalty a minute or two later and choose to kick for goal, which they missed. From the ensuing 22-restart they had more good attacking ball in our half. Ultimately we defended well and ended up scoring from a turnover at 53m 41s.

If there was a turning point, it was that moment at 53m41s when we scored from a turnover inside our own half, not when their try was disallowed 9 minutes earlier. To label the disallowed try as a "turning point" is a load of crap in the context of the game.

I think both teams had a disallowed try. Australia's was the obvious one, but I think Dan Coles was very unlucky when he was tackled from behind in-goal going for the ball.

Ref ruled in favour of Australia on that one.

Even Stevens.
