sonyxperiageek: Some reporter asked during the press conference for Australia, if the Wallabies losing last night was a result of Australia's slow NBN vs NZ's fast UFB.....

To be honest, at least in Michael Chieka's eye it could be. That guy is such a whiney little baby. His tantrums in the coaches box were very poor. The ref didn't get it right all the time, but some went the way of the Wallabies and some the way of the AB's.

Had Bernard Foley been on song with his boot, they would probably have won.

The reporter got told off by the guy managing the press conference too lol.

Warmest congratulations to the Women of the Black Ferns doing a most fantastic job in winning the Womens Rugby World Cup, under some challenging turn arounds. Showed a lot of Mana in their fight back against England.

Feeling they need better from NZRU and World Rugby going forward.

Disappointing to see the size of their cup, my Coffee cup is as big as that and I didn't beat 8 teams to win a Global event.

It's about the same size as the mens world cup trophy - do you think it should be bigger than the Webb Ellis Cup?

Expect it to be the same size, and to me it looks significantly smaller. I also believe they should get the same amount of time to prepare between games, ie a week or at least 6 days.

I agree they would probably have won, had his kicking been ok. Chieka, yes, he's under pressure, but wow, a bit out there. Hansen, good play, bad play, he's locked in with his frownless frown. He wants to be unbeaten but he knows it sport. A great attitude. Thats probably helps the players?  We all want to win, but the world wont end if we dont, so play your game. The result will look after itself.

Interestingly two things happened Saturday night that make me want to set up as a tea leaf reader and make millions.

One, before the game, I said.. "I have a feeling that the way the passes from the AB's are going, Israel Folou could jump out of line and grab one to score a try the length of the field.

Two, after Beale scored, and everyone in my house was calling it the game over, I confidently said, we will score again and win the game.

You may all applaud now :)

Good calls.

I think Folau is superb, as is Ioane, if not more so. Sorta like the SBW that we see, but not too often?

Huh? The second one is easy to predict. The ABs always score and usually win.

The first one, intercept try happens, but good on you for naming Folau.

I'd back the AB's to score in 7 minutes if it meant the game, it's what they do. A lot of people don't seem to have the same faith in them I do, or don't watch them play as much.

I'd almost never write off a AB's team.

Awesome game of rugby this weekend.

Time for SBW to get the boot though.

He had an amazing game the week before. Not so vintage during Super Rugby, but in my eyes, has earned the right to keep his jersey for a couple of weeks longer to let him correct his mistakes. No-one will be harder on him, than him in my experience.

The Wallabies said during the week that the threat they needed to neutralize was SBW and they did that well. He didn't get much space all game.

am watching the womens rugby WC final. cheika has a point. NZ was yellow carded for lifing a player like 3 inches and then letting go.

I was watching that at work today too! Thought it was ridiculous the TMO decided that was lifting above the horizontal and then suggesting a yellow card... It was just a good tackle!

No he doesn't, the yellow card in the womens game was a disgrace.

If MC spent less time worrying about who to blame and more time on his coaching responsibilities Australia would be in a better position. He is one of the most obnoxious Australian Coaches I can remember in my lifetime.

I meant to comment on this kid last weekend when I saw him playing.

https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/96436634/wellington-sensation-asafo-aumua-strong-contender-for-all-blacks-apprentice-role

He has very similar traits to Dane Coles and he runs even faster I suspect. Worth taking a look at Wellingtons games this weekend and last to see him in action!
