sonyxperiageek: Maybe it should to be North (everyone considered but Aucklanders) v South haha

A pretty decent number of household names would be missing. I'd rather postpone and watch the whole squad play.

Of somewhat mild relief, not having to actually watch Dan Carter play for the Blues :) Was bad enough watching him train...

They'll likely just play in Wellington and find a way to move the players from Auckland. Rescheduling won't be a problem either, it's not like there will be any other games for it to interfere with.

While not as big as Super Rugby, I think M10 Cup is still big enough for during a covid world. Especially since it goes to an international audience as well, the potential revenue it could bring (sponsors, broadcast rights etc.) it could be big enough for NZR to care.

Without M10, Super Rugby wouldn't be as high level as it is, and that would in my opinion, impact the AB's. They might not care as much, but I think they know it's important, and if it's a choice between watching nothing or M10, count me in!

I don't know about others but I don't like teams wearing 'away' strip when there isn't a colour clash.

Hurricanes should be in yellow for every game in Super Rugby Aotearoa. Likewise the Crusaders in red.

Only time change colours is when Blues play the Highlanders.

I only buy the away strip when I really like the colour for the year, but it hasn't been the case for a long time.

I have more Rugby Jerseys than I should :)

My favourite was the Lions version of the Crusaders Jersey. I don't wear that one as often as I know I can't get another.

I understand that but who wants to buy a grey coloured away strip anyway.

Tough to pick a form AB's squad from available players.  I would go;

Nepo Laulala

Codie Taylor

Joe Moody

Patrick Tuipulotu

Pari Pari Parkinson

Shannon Frizell

Ardie Savea

Marino Mikaele-Tu’u

Aaron Smith

Richie Mo’unga

Anton Lienert Brown

Jack Goodhue

George Bridge

Sevu Reece

Jordie Barrett

Reserves

Ofa Tu’ungafasi

Angus Ta’avao

Dane Coles

Sam Whitelock

Dalton Papalii

Hoskins Sotutu

TJ Perenara

Beauden Barrett

6/2 split in the reserves - no room for the AB's 'captain'.

Jordie can cover midfield or wing, Beauden can cover 1st 5 or fullback (wing if needed as well), TJ can cover 1st 5 if the worst happens.  Ngani Laumape would be in if fit.

Front five pretty much picks itself - Tuipulotu and Parkinson have been the form locks.  If Retallick and Barrett were available they would obviously start with one of either Tuipulotu or Parkinson on the bench and the other gone with Whitelock who has looked behind the eight ball all year.  Get's a spot in the reserves due to the unavailability of others.

Loosies is a bit of a lolly scramble - there are so many that could do the job well.  Ardie is the number one pick of the loosies, and would be great to swap out with a Papalii with 25 to go.  Cullen Grace would pip Frizell if he was fit.

May be no AB's rugby this year anyway - it wouldn't be bad to see all the AB's playing Mitre 10 Cup.  Taranaki might have a chance with all the Barretts home!

I really wish Tafua had been able to get into an AB's Jersey, he had in my mind, the promising characteristics of an absolutely fantastic 6 for the AB's.

Being too short, slow and not particularly explosive?
