Super Rugby Aotearoa 2021 draw
GV27:Handle9:This is worth reading on the high tackle topic. I don't agree with some of it but it does raise some good points.

I really struggle with this. This comments about Tualangi's citing suggests the Swindon incident was less aggravating than the Tu’ungafasi card because Whitelock was bent over; Swindon made no effort to use his arms at all and made contact with the head in a full shoulder charge. while Tu’ungafasi fully wrapped the player he'd made contact with.
It would be massively wrong for them receive the same sanction from the citing body.

Eg. Farrell had a 10 week entry point which was mitigated down to 5 as he only had one prior suspension 4 1/2 years ago, was clearly remorseful, pled guilty, had loads of character witnesses and was nice to old ladies.

Ah yes, only one prior suspension, but that's everything to do with him being an angel on the field and not him getting away with murder for 4 1/2 years and thus having no interim sanctions to be held against him 😅

I know where you are going with that, and I feel the same way, but they need to work off the evidence presented to them, and the only acceptable evidence (to ensure fairness to him and every other person who gets cited) would be prior citings or formal warnings (which Ofa has had and Farrel I don't think had had). The issues with him not being cited previously for tackles that were unacceptable fall into a seperate category of dumb :)
How dumb do you have to be to not wear a mouthguard playing full contact sport? Crazy.

Only 4 day games. Disappointing that they haven't kept more day games.
I am torn, if it were day games, Saturdays suited us a lot better than Sunday games, but I know it was popular for many, but it's about TV viewing times elsewhere in the world?
Handle9: The Aussie rugby show (which is very good normally) talked about the importance of the channel 9 contract and FTA coverage.
Worth a watch to understand some of the challenges that Australian rugby has and why FTA coverage is important.
Worth a watch, it's only half an hour.
Haha that loss in AU seems to have woken the selectors up, with close to the best available team selected this week.
I still cannot understand persisting with Jordie on the Wing (other than having another kicker), or ALB at 13 and JG at 12!

It's about what Sky wants. It's their money so fair enough to some extent but if they want to grow the sport and have decent crowds allowing families to go is a big part of it.
