Every week I watch the breakdown and Sir John Kirwan is involved I cringe.

Apparently, off the back of 2 Super Rugby games, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck should be the starting 12 for the AB's!

He does have a point that we are 18 test matches from a RWC and we need to settle down and pick a team and prepare them as best we can for the RWC though. I think we can barely tinker anymore though for me there is still positions where we don't have a clear first and second choice.

Man oh man, the Drua play some exciting Rugby when they are 'on'. They are SO quick, it defies belief how fast some of their players were pulling away from opposition backs, even the Drua forwards and midfielders.

Goldie does an interesting bit on the trends North vs South Rugby which starts around 18 minutes in.

We really didn't take our chances on Saturday night, we blew 2-3 absolute tries which isn't like the Crusaders at all.

Having said all that, that doesn't take away from a massively spirited and gutsy performance by the Chiefs. They totally deserved the win, no question.

Because I am hard on Reiko for the balls he fumbles and whatnot, I think it's only fair if I see others doing the same thing to give them the beans too, and Braydon Ennors ball-handling skills probably cost us that match. He has been poor in that regard for quite a while. I recall a similar loss due to a fumbled catch last year I think against the Warratahs? He also did make a bunch of mistakes for the AB's. I hope he gets it to together shortly. He wouldn't be in the AB's on current form for me (though as described by Stu Wilson on the breakdown he would be in the conversation but wouldn't have a secured place).  He's a class player, so perhaps with more game time things will improve.

Apart form blowing 2 tries to be past the 15 point gap, I couldn't understand why they did a box kick in the 78th minute, either do one off carries or pin the Chiefs back in the corner and make sure it goes out so can waste time with the lineout.

Crusaders have now let in 2 lots of 2 tries in last 10 minutes, don't know if a fitness thing or not but could be a worry.

Propping for the first time in a while looks light especially at tight head. Moody is on the other side of the slope as well.

The whole competition is a bit weird at the moment. Highlanders are in the bottom group but more than likely will finish in 6th to 8th position.

But still think the final will be 2 out of the Blues, Chiefs and Crusaders.

Someone commented on Reddit that had we had Drummond on instead of TTT we likely would have won that game, that was a total brain fart by him.

That last 15 minutes we didn't get the pill at all. It was like it was a defence training drill. Get the ball kick it back to them, defend.

Fletcher Newall was pretty industrious and showed some promise.  The next month or so will be interesting.

I think I'll watch both the England France and Ireland Scotland matches on the weekend.

Ireland have a reasonable chance to win the 6 Nations if they can win against Scotland given that England vs France is likely to be reasonably close either way and England will be right smarting after losing to Ireland and getting a red card last weekend.

Plenty of feeling in that match I'd imagine and Ireland have everything to play for too.  I almost pity Scotland :)

Sad to see the Crusaders v Blues game cancelled and the Otago v MP as well

Glad the NRL has started last week so I have something decent to watch

Peyper is the referee in France v England, not sure which team that favours

Everyone will just have to play a mid week game at some stage or if possible in their bye round

Tell that to Moana Pasifika who have only played one game after 5 rounds. This whole season is turning into a hot mess

Considering home grounds can barely have any crowds I would have left them all in the bubble in QT.

Anyways not much we can do now, NZR must be seething at some silly choices
