Handle9:
It had nothing to do with the coaches. They were doing as they were told.
Realize that, which is why I mentioned the NZRU first... Foster & Plumtree probably would not have wanted to front the media anyway.

Whatever his faults I do not believe Foster to have an issue fronting the media. Despite the unhinged vitirol of the NZ Public he has remained composed. May not have been his favourite way to spend a half hour but I don't doubt for a minute he would have done so regardless. He will be no stranger to the pressures of being an ABs coach.
I do feel however the way he is being treated in NZ now is disgusting. The name calling and insults are really poor and people need to understand he is a human being with feelings and family who likely read media and can see social media.
It's all a bit much.
He's under a ton of pressure, so he's probably a bit relieved to have not talked to the media.
Supporters with any sense wouldn't hate the bloke - but lets face it he's way out of his depth as an AB coach, same goes for Plumtree as an assistant AB coach... my team is the Canes, Plumtree was a poor head coach for us, so astonished that the NZRU thought it was a great idea for those two to run the ABs.

None of us have any idea.
NZR are arrogance personified, I don't view Foster in the same way. If anything he's too nice a person.

He had one year and the Hurricanes finished second effectively. Tell me more about how poor he was?

Chris Boyd was the brains - when he left Plumtree had a good squad to work with, think Boyd coached the Canes for 4 years, where we made two finals, winning one of them & making a couple of semi-finals... Plumtree has a lot to do with coaching the AB forwards, just shows how poor he is by the way our forwards are performing.

So your reckon that he was a poor head coach is all you have? No actual evidence of him being a poor head coach for the Hurricanes?
The Hurricanes had very average personnel in the forwards and consistently produced a competitive forward pack under Plumbtree. He did a good job with Ireland and Japan. He was probably the most qualified of all the current All Black coaches having worked with multiple international teams and been a successful coach at Super Rugby level.
He may, or may not, be a part the problems with the All Blacks but making him out to be unqualified to be an assistant coach is dumb.

Talk sense, it was Chris Boyd that produced our competitive forward packs, not him... what part didn't you understand when I said Plumtree clearly has a lot to do with the AB forwards ? so are you saying he shouldn't take any blame for the atrocious way the ABs are playing ? the bloke is a poor coach as mentioned, have never seen the AB forwards play this badly ever over a pretty long period of time.
Also I've heard plenty of interviews from both Boyd & Plumtree when they were at the Canes... you only to analyse what a coach is saying to know whether they have good insight or not, Boyd clearly does, Plumtree doesn't have much of that at all.
Handle9: Ah so anything good is someone else’s doing but anything bad is Plumbtrees fault.
You’re seeing what you want to see, not that what happened.
There ya go 5000 +1's :)

Not saying that, as said before can't only blame one person for this shambles - just basically saying we have too many good players to be playing this badly... the 1st test was easily our best performance in the Irish series, we didn't have the two main coaches involved a lot to over clutter their minds, so in the first one the players didn't looked so confused or disorganized.
Like any organization it starts at the top... we obviously don't have the right one's on the NZRU Board, crucial we have the right people running the board that have good rugby nous, then they would select the best coach available for the job.
So the current speculation is that Plumtree and Feek will be gone and Sam Cane to lose captaincy.
Who will replace Feek? Cron? Presumably, Schmidt to replace Pumbtree?
I'm really gonna miss rugby for the next few weekends. Despite results not going as I hoped, I have enjoyed watching all the different teams play. It's been a high point in my weeks.
