This is also excellent and summarises a lot of what is wrong with NZR as an organisation.

I think the second article is considerably more constructive, but given the author of the first, who would be surprised?
The way proposed to have dealt with it seems quite reasonable, except for the fact NZR is already accused of being arrogant and approaching it like that, would likely to be viewed in the worst light anyway.
I don't agree with how it's been handled, and I agree some changes are required. It's hard to know what NZR's motivation for the current communications strategy is. If you take the comms manager at face value, despite the error in judgement, her heart was in the right place.
If the media was constructive, then these type of press conferences are difficult but not world-ending, and I feel Foster is prepared for constructive criticism he might get. I think his post match interview was spot on, the light should have been on Ireland who were very good, and discussions around his future shouldn't really have even come up in the post-match interview, it does feel a little 'knives out'.
From all I have read over the years, there is a genuine good connection between Foster and the players. I feel some attention needs to be paid to the team's culture and player/team connections. I genuinely feel the AB's had a pretty disrupted series, even though it's not enough on it's own to explain everything.
I am looking forward to seeing some positive changes and outcomes.
