And for Foster to come out and say it was the All Blacks best performance of the year just shows how far the AB's have fallen under Foster.

I'm not backing Foster (and believe he has only one game left), however that's not exactly what he said.  He actually said "In some ways" at the start of the sentence.  i.e. something like "In some ways that was our best performance of the year".  That's still probably the wrong thing to say, but it's not the same thing.  However, the media frenzy immediately took part of what he said out of context and continued on with the longest crucifixion in history.

With the Sky Sport Now app you don't know when the full replay is going to be on... so I'll probably set the alarm & watch it live.

You know that with the SSN app you can watch the live program later on?  You don't have to wait for a reply.  e.g. I got up at 7:30 am and clicked on the live program from 3:00 am and watched it.  The only restriction is you can't go back further than 24 hours.

Correction:  I think it was actually "In many ways..", rather than "In some ways.."

Whatever way you put it, was a ridiculous comment, shows how deluded he is.

Well no surprises there... I knew SA would win and they did it easily. There have to be changes (some forced due to injury) for the final game. We have absolutely no chance at making it to the semi's of the world cup currently and our 5th place on the rankings reflects that.

Players I'd be dropping/moving in no particular order J Barrett, R Ioane, Havili, Clarke, B Barrett, Smith, Cane, A Ioane, Ta’avao.

Team I'd like to see named

Jordan, Reece, Goodhue, J Barrett, R Ioane, Mo'unga, Fakatava, Sotutu, Savea, Vaa'i, S Barrett, Whitelock (c), Newell/Williams, Taukei’aho, Bower.

Panasonic 65GZ1000, Onkyo RZ730, Atmos 5.1.2, AppleTV 4K, Nest Mini's, PS5, PS3, MacbookPro, iPad Pro, Apple watch SE2, iPhone 15+

Thanks, will do that next time... probably would've watched the first one live anyway, as I expected to see an improved AB performance, but was really disappointed yet again.

Yeah, reckon that team would be much more effective... we also need to play with more smarts, better focus & execute more accurately overall.

I wouldn't drop Clarke.  I thought he was good with his limited opportunities.

Goodhue is injured, so not an option.  I think he would probably have been in the frame for Saturday if he was available.  I've being saying Reiko is not a test quality centre for some time, but the reality last week was we really had no one else.  When ALB and Goodhue are back, I think one or both start in the midfield.

By the way, you have Jordie and Reiko in you list of players to be dropped, but you also have them in your team to be named.  How does that work?  Is it just moving them to different positions? - which I agree with.

It does say Dropping/Moving... I wasn't trying to create three different lists. Its about time foster gave up on his trying to fit players into roles. J Barrett played all year at 2nd five and it shows. We have one of the best outside backs in the world in Will Jordan yet we make him play a position he's never played against one of the best teams in the world.

Ridiculous

Yep, sorry missed that - but assumed you meant moving.  I'd definitely have Jordie at 12 and Jordan at 15.  I'd like to move Reiko to the wing, or bench.  However, for this Saturday at least, I'm not sure what the other option at centre is.  Not sure on timeline for Goodhue return.

And it also ignores the first Ireland game where NZ appeared to have a game plan especially on attack with the three-off pass to counter rush defense which worked really well. The problem with the Foster criticism is that it focusses on this year but there results under Foster have been well below par for years. The results at the end of last year were alarming enough and the Ireland series should have been a "fight for your job mate" rather than the SA Tour...

Even with a new coach its going to take some serious time to get the team working as it should and get some decent results happening.

IF the All Blacks got a new coach soon, would the new coach be allowed to repick the whole squad on the spot?

Surely you would want an entire squad that will fit your strategic vision, not attempt to put square pegs in round holes.

Not sure it needs the whole squad. There are players being put out of position which doesn't help. Some younger players need a shot to foster (pardon pun) competition for spots and because they are probably better. Then consistency to develop combinations.

One big change is that the Union board needs a change, which is probably one of the learnings from the Warriors, so many changes in coaches and players but still consistently poor?

Almost certainly not.

This is one of the reasons that Scott 'Razor' Robertson might not want the job at the moment.
IMO, if Ian Foster quits / is fired, then NZ Rugby might have to find an interim coach for the RWC.

Stuff has some points: https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/all-blacks/129509028/nz-rugbys-next-move-on-ian-foster-to-come-next-week-but-scott-robertson-is-no-certainty
