I watched the breakdown on Sunday, it doesn't change my view in fact it only hardens it. I just dont see how having a predetermined reassessment after a tour is inappropriate. It was what was agreed to before the test.
Mils for example in all of this https://youtu.be/TCD8jtN2XBA?t=2637
Every single thing he says is not what was said by Robinson - like he literally never said any of what Mils just said he said I'm dumbfounded. But is quoted gospel here!
I mean this is madness after this back and forward with you all day you have still not provided a single shred of evidence to that backs up what you are saying about the CEO, not one. Its because you are lapping up what is being fed to you on NZ herald and The breakup with no critical thought.
Sundays performance will make it even harder for NZR, if it had been two losses it would have been straight forward, gone. What happens if they dont act now and we lose the Bledisloe and another test to Argentina, still good enough? Glad I am not them.
So it's reported by the NZHerald that they went to his house and told him to resign, Mils says the exact same thing, and still that isn't good enough for you (don't forget Mils is employed by Sky and Sky is partially owned by NZR)? You want a recording or it didn't happen?
Anyways, believe what you want.
Pertinent point IMO is:
"He can't hide behind the board and say 'the board will make a decision', that's not going to work," he said. "He runs a $100 million plus company, an organisation with the largest public profile in New Zealand, perhaps even at times, larger than the government and he comes up with this stuff.
and
"He was with Taranaki for a little while, but what they need is somebody with experience as a CEO, experience at dealing with the media. Somebody who will control the PR department, rather than controlling him. I don't think he's got it."
Our lineout throwing across all 3 hookers has been pretty awful.
I think Havilli and Mo'unga are a good combination, there was a familiarity there I think paid dividends.
Canterbury and Auckland are really showing dominance in the NPC this year.

Taukei'aho has thrown well. We've lost a couple of lineouts where there has been miscommunication or we've been beaten on the jump but that isn't awful throwing.
The line out in the last two tests has been very good.

I'd have to go back and check specifically, but there was at least three times where we threw right over the top of the lineout and it was snaffled by the Boks (once we got back but it was borderline).

I just took a quick look. There was one from Taukei'aho to Frizzell where it may have been a bad throw but he wasn't anywhere near the top of his jump when the ball went over so may have been a jump/lift issue. Not sure where the other two were.
Taylor had the one crooked throw. There weren't many line out throws by NZ in that test, we only had 10.
Interesting to see the reaction to what's going on with Foster.
It's probably a reflection of the more insular way Kiwis see the world - with rugby any way.
If folks think the "drama" that's surrounding the AB coach is not the way things should be done - or whatever, I think they need have a look at what happens outside of our little bubble.
Our rugby politics is relatively benign to what goes in other countries - South Africa in particular springs to mind. It's surprising how well they've done considering (yeah, we've given them some hidings in the past few years - but, I believe they're the current world champs, and have a better RWC win ratio than anyone else). Their coaches are under huge pressure. It's bad enough they have to deal with the rugby public, but, they also have to walk that political tight rope - although, to be fair it doesn't seem to be so intense these days. Possibly because there's enough non-white players in key management positions nowadays that they realize the absurdity of non-merit based policies.
Strangely though, the ABs used to be synonymous with what a merit-based culture represented.

The media have been relentless and vicious and the public have been much the same. The level of personal attacks on the guy is truly gross. Considering Paul Green killed himself a week ago.......
Having said that, the way NZR have handled this the whole way through, gives no certainty to a guy whos job is hard enough as it is. Would you be able to do a great job if every few weeks it was I may have a job in a fortnight, I may not have a job in a fortnight?
How many employment reviews should they reasonably have in a 12-month period. There was one in December, after the Irish series, another now, what if he loses against Argentina? Every time he loses or the team doesn't play well, the questions will come up.
MR should have sacked him or endorsed him fully till the end of the cycle. He should now what his future is now, it should have been made clear at the Irish series review that he had to win x from x matches in SA or they would sack him, and at no point should MR have come out and thrown him under the bus the way he had. Whatever is happening, he should have had the support of his boss to the public. MR's comments have incited an already rabbid public into a pitchfork-wielding insanity. No one should be subjected to that.
Your wrong, they have a review after every tour, none of this is unusual. They even highlighted issues post the Northern tour last year, giving them their last chance. Do you honestly think it was going to be OK to continue losing? The fact of the matter is that a certain level of performance is required, and Fosters stats are the worst of any modern NZ coach. You might think he should sack him or allow him the cycle, but the cycle is an arbitrary date that you have in your mind, while the damage to the brand continues. Its NZR job to do the best by their organisation, and ignoring the losses is foolish.
They are running a business and for some bizarre reason in your opinion there should be a continuation of the rot, rather than stamping it out?? The All Blacks may just become the Man U of union! I am still waiting for either of you to actually say what Robinson said that was so offensive to you in regards to Foster??
There's nothing unusual about what's going on?
You are delusional.

I dont get it, they are deciding that later in the week. There is no sack him or dont... How are they making him live week to week?
Read Robinsons press statement after the Ireland series, his interview with Jason Pine and his comments on Sunday.

Yeah, sorry, I wasn't clear, I was talking in recent times rather than that one test. There were a couple in the prior test. I don't think our lineout has been going very well. Perhaps it's not just a hooker problem.
