I thought Swain was to face the judiciary last night?

To have a crack at winning the RC we need 5 points from our last match... that won't happen if we play erratic rubbish like last week.

I will take a watchable thriller and runners up in a series where we were barely the second best team on the field at some matches over a one-sided tedious drubbing, if it's all the same.

Foul play review committee was last night. It’s now referred to the judiciary tomorrow night. Sanzaar has a two step process apparently.

So as I understand if, if SA and NZ both get a win or bonus point, then SA need to win over Argentina by a margin of greater than 13 points than we beat Australia by, to win the RC?
I think it's a harder ask for us to beat AU with a bonus point than it will be for SA to do so at home over Argentina given they got a bonus point, away, playing pretty average Rugby, though you'd hope Argentina didn't play as badly in the first half as they did last week.
Hopefully, our defense is better this week.

Why not? South Africa got 5 points playing erratic rubbish on Sunday.
Erratic, inconsistent, poor play, good play, thats the theme of this circus from all teams

My point is we stuffed up a big lead... if we had shown decent consistency we would've added more points on the board, and easily got 5 points out of that match against Aussie.
Sure, but due to an unfortunate group of injuries, we ended up putting people in positions they weren't familiar with, with people they probably haven't spent a lot of time partnering with. I think Sam Cane was a big loss for us. He has been immense at the breakdown and Papal'i didn't have a particularly strong game, nor did Sotutu.

My gut feeling is that we and all the other Southern Hemisphere teams, are about a year behind where they usually would be in a world cup cycle due to the North having dealt with Covid and their restrictions being less in general and shorter in duration.
There are other factors too, of course.
I have concerns that games I have expected the AB's to be 'up' for, haven't gotten them across the line.
AU will be hurting after their loss, especially since they feel 'hard done by' (which is stupid). I am worried that the AB's won't have the same motivation and with some key personnel.
I am really hoping we can win, if for no other reason than to have to listen to another month of Foster bashing.

Equally, you should give credit where credit is due, we put a lot of points on them, and showed some grit at the end to score a match-winning try.

South Africa stuffed up a big lead and got 5 points.
You're not making any sense.
