anyway since we are doing armchair coaching i have always wondered what in the world peter de villiers was doing last time round. they easily had the strongest guys around. if i was him i would just get the forwards to put this guy in 2 - 3 times every match. but he never got selected to play

I'm an armchair coach. It is much more fun pretending to drive the team and their tactics. I wouldn't want to be an armchair umpire.

I enjoyed the Wallabies' win despite the All Blacks being so disappointing. The win has added some real savour to the contest at Eden Park because it will be more interesting to see if the All Blacks can improve and win. If they'd won in Sydney then I wouldn't have had as much to look forward to. Clearly the volume of posts here indicates that the loss has enlivened the debates.

oh jokerz97, whhhhhy show us that again!?

What is especially amusing is the gloves, they just disappeared from rugby after 2011.  Obviously useless, someone probably worked out they increased the incidence of dropping the ball.

Speaking of King Carlos, how much does Quade remind you of him?  Moments of brilliance mixed with meltdowns.

You got that right. This has elevated the game ten fold, no exaggeration.

because I've always wondered why he didn't. imagine every time you get a penalty in your own half ->>>>> 3 points.

every time you are trailing and you need to press the boost button ------> 3 points

Instead p de villiers played the oldest men he could find. Some needed walking sticks to get around.

Slightly off topic but I'm going back home overseas this week and I'm wanting to know if there is a way to watch the game online legally?

networkn: I really felt Aaron Smith felt super bad about that tackle. It was an accident but I think he is a fair play type of guy,he would have been gutted at himself.

if you've never been put to the sword backed into a corner before (because every match you've donned black was awesome so far) you don't know what to do. so i put that down on inexperience.

This isn't the only match Aaron hasn't played that well, but by far and away his worst game yet.

Jaxson:
Smithy100: The biggest thing for me was the reluctance to change tactics. Especially after the lessons of '07, the reluctance of "the leadership group" to change tack almost makes me wonder whether it was instructed from those above NOT to change.

There were no kicks through/behind the line.

Lol snap, I was just typing the exact same comment...

The AB's have an outstanding record doing what they have been doing up till now. We lose one game and every senior player and every single tactic they have employed for the last 10 years is "wrong".

Honestly, people amaze me.

Each year the AB's change a little bit, and their self believe in their game plan has got them wins time and time again. Some of them were close or ugly, but a wins a win.

tdgeek: I'd like them to cancel those short passes. They look great, but what the benefit in passing 2 feet, maybe 3? When the later passed it was high, slow passes.  Where are the flat, hard passes that take valuable half seconds away from the opposition's reaction time? I bet they are easier to catch than a swifty  at 2 foot range.

Every time they do one, my heart is in my throat.
