TJP has to be a moron not to learn from last week getting penalised for shouting at the referee. Robertson needs to have a Shut the Freaking Umbrella conversation with him. This time he got threatened with a card for Christ sakes.

If he serviced rucks as fast as he mouthed off, imagine what kind of player he would be?

We were exceptionally fortunate not to have Te'lea off for at least 10 for his stupid challenge in the air. Not the first time he has done something like that. Reece's was just dumb as well.

You'd be in the minority holding that opinion I think. Are they playing their absolute best? No, but no doubt they are in the top 3 teams in the world right now.

This is pretty debatable. The Argies, Saffas and French are all playing more compelling rugby. Ireland usually in the conversation as well.

We, on the other hand, have gone from just losing to not even scoring a try and missing penalties in the space of a week. We're going backwards.

Foster's neck was already in the noose at this point, mostly just for the sin of not being Scott Robertson.

Argentina? No, they are playing well against teams who don't give their all, I think that's true of most teams.  Their performance against the Wallabies last night was more a reflection of the woeful (possibly one of the worst I've ever seen) second halves of AU Rugby ever. They are a good team, but I don't think they go in the conversation with the likes of Ireland, or SA.

With a kick up the bum we gave them a much bigger hiding than they gave us, and the margins we are losing by are pretty small and relatively easily fixed.

I've been plenty vocal about how badly I feel NZ public, NZR and the NZ Press (and actually Robertson) treated Foster, and I have never claimed that Robertson was the cure to all our ills.

I do find it amusing that when he makes bold selections he is accused of panicing (a laughable suggestion), but when he doesn't, he's accused of being Foster 2.0. People want big changes, but they have to be seamless and result in a 20 point thrashing of every opposition, this is part of our lack of maturity as fans, and our inability to accept we aren't always the best in the world.

Well it seems like we'll have plenty of time to adjust if this is what we're going to have to accept as par-for-the-course. We sure as hell aren't going to get different results if we insist on continuing with this approach.

I'm not sure it's the fan's problem if the coaches want to keep picking players who fail to fire week-in, week-out, some of them after a very average Super Rugby campaign. Not every player is Ma'a Nonu when it comes to the black jersey and perhaps that's what the NZ Rugby community actually needs to accept, even if it means losing some beloved names who just happen to come from the right parts of the country.

It's good to know it's everyone else's fault though, or else someone might have to face some accountability.

You seem to want to think that everything is sorted if we just select more Blues players, that's your answer to everything, except the Blues players bear plenty of responsibility for failure to fire for the AB's too.  Is there a center in world rugby who makes more handling errors than Reiko ? He either won't pass, or passes to no-one. Who from the Blues should we replace him with? Te'lea has moments of brilliance and moments of boneheadedness. There is plenty to go around.

Name your ideal 23? You can pick from anyone in the country. Let's see what you've got?

If you can tell me where in my post I even mentioned the Blues, then I'll oblige.

As for Te'lea - clearly none of that actually matters because we keep picking Reece.

Keep picking Reece? He's just sat out two matches in a row.  His form has been far more consistent than most of the Blues players over the last 3 years, that should buy him a bit of leeway. He was top 3 form backs in Super Rugby this year, even in a team that was struggling.

If you have a problem picking from teams who had an average Super Rugby season, then why weren't you complaining the last 10-15 years that we kept picking Blues players?

The only one who is going on about the Blues here is you at the moment.

We picked Blues players who performed. I can understand why you're having trouble with this concept.

I understand that the plan next week is to go 7 backs,1 forward on the bench. Fletcher Newell is the forward chosen to watch the game close up.

There is someone struggling here, but it isn't me. Reece did perform.  He hasn't had a stellar year in Black so far, but he has more than earned some leeway. You seem to have a pretty short memory related to performances.

Who of the current AB's needs to be dropped in your opinion?

More top notch rugby journalism from the Herald.

Player ratings are a joke at the best of times but when you see this sort of nonsense you know they didn’t even watch the game.

TJ gets a warning but no penalty for talking to the referee. A paragraph written.

Reese goes infield to yell at the referee and can’t make a tackle on his goal line.

Crickets.

Funny how you lean so heavily into whataboutism when you are so quick to call others out on it.

TJP cost us a hot attacking opportunity last week and was penalized for it. This week he nearly gets carded for it.

I notice no mention of missed tackles by any non Crusaders players by you either.
