So would my son if he was playing against Uruguay.

Cant say any abs did that against an even lower placed team though?

Not sure that's quite a fair rap. Almost all the minnow teams have played really well, I have watched every game so far, and I can tell you there isn't much missing from some of these teams, that would put them up a level. Ultimately a bit of finishing (Players staying in support). Ball Skills on the whole are of the highest order.

I'm having a dig at poor old Quade'y, not the minnows.

What a DISMAL display by Australia. I have seen school kids (Literally) handle the ball better. Australia should have seen a second card for penalties alone, and definitely one when Uruguay were on their 5m line. Will Skelton skill has trouble with his discipline and Quade Cooper's kicking was abysmal.

It was the weakest performance I've seen by a minnow team, I don't think they would be happy with the result.

That was their B team. Cheika is either a genius or a madman by picking his 31 based on two separate starting 15s (that's what he said). Baffles me. In the pool of death i maintain that England looks the strongest. They should beat Australia. It then all comes down to Australia Wales and how much depth Wales has to beat them or not. If not then it all comes down to bonus points and points differences etc

I can't get how all the big teams are performing poor. Well, poor to not great. An argument is B teams, and the lack of gel that goes with that, but I read here of the downturn of skills.
They should be showing the skills, the fitness, and holes appearing with non gelling B teams, but it seems worse. Take Oz vs Uruguay that Andre just talked about. Playing a low minnow, is an opportunity to practice as well as win. At that disparity (yes I know about Japan!) its like a real time live practice. Passing, ball handing, catching, kick to touch accuracy, with a lot less pressure. If there are skill holes now, how will they be on a knockout against a branded team? OTOH what an opportunity for a big name team to hit its stride

Sure, it's their B team (Not sure it's not their C) , but still, holy moly. These guys are paid 6 figures to catch a frigging rugby ball.

I'm thinking if Quade Cooper hadn't bungled 70% of his kicks and Australia hadn't of blown 4 absoloute sure tries, score would have been 100-3

Chieka didn't look even marginally impressed.

Cooper needs to go. I keep thinking he has naked photos of the coaches with women not their wives, to continue to be considered.

Haha now that would make the tournament get a bit more exciting.

At the moment there's only two matches I'm really interested in. England Australia, Wales Australia. The rest are ... Meh

I'm not sure where he's going to. Unless you can set up his teammates to injure him he's staying!

I am still pretty interested in all the matches. I am keen to see the Minnow teams get a win or so each, though not all of them do.

I don't want Romania to beat the AB's but man they have played their hearts out!

He needs to no longer be a Wallaby after the world cup.

Watched Tonga vs Namibia. What a brave performance by the Namibians. They have reason to feel hard done by. They should have gone a Penalty try in the first half at the Tongan line. Tonga should have got a card for cynical play in the second half for slowing the ball and kicking it away, and a third yellow for a twisting tackle around the neck (backward). I'd love to see them win a game in this competition.

Some of the schedules are truly brutal.

What are the odds we see Stephen Donald called up to the squad this time round?

Slightly better than me being called up, but not much.

I hope the injuries to Nonu, Barrett and Slade aren't serious. Messam - meh.

I still haven't decided who I want to win on Sunday yet (Eng v Aus). Aus Win, England out (especially if Aus win by more than 7 and Eng do not get 4 tries). England win, and them somehow Wales beat both Fiji and Australia - Aus out. Would we as ABs fans rather see England or Australia further into the tournament?

For me it's England.
