Dingbatt: Poor old Craig Joubert, quick, decisive and wrong when it really mattered. The one time when TMO interference, I mean input, was needed, and it wasnt forthcoming. I suggest he may not want to book a family holiday in Scotland any time soon.

The Scot player was off-sides, and the ref saw it. TMO IMO would have just proven what he saw.

Seems to be a fair amount of disagreement from various different "experts" about that. Having said that, Scotland knew that lineout throw they bungled was probably the most important movement of the whole game, from that they would have had a great chance of winning that game.

I feel for them, but to get within 1 point of winning, was an outstanding effort.

Yesterday afternoon (sometime after 3:30pm) I happened to catch the after match interview of the French team.
It was mostly in French so I didnt understand much of it, but I thought the French coach looked like he was on the verge of tears.
But it did make me wonder, could Sky have not added captions in the intervening 5-6 hours?

Interestingly people have been calling for his head, which is strange, because he was already replaced in May! I'd be in tears if I had just had 49 points put on me ! :)

I didn't even lose that badly when I played a guy 5 grades above me in squash in the weekend :)

For the record, I think Richie McAwesome has surpassed Chuck Norris as the most powerful force in the universe! You heard it here first!

Exactly what I thought when I watched it. I googled for a translation but didn't find anything.

Are you sure? I thought I read an article in the herald this morning that said he replaced Marc Lievremont after they lost the 2011 final.

Ahhhh, so in May they signed a new guy to replace him after this world cup. Interesting way to do it.

I have heard that Chuck Norris checks under his bed for Richie McCaw before he goes to sleep.

Intriguing if Argentina manage to beat Oz next week and the ABs beat SA, then for the second RWC in a row teams from the same pool will meet in the final. If Argentina mug Australia the way they did Ireland, it is not impossible.

He couldn't have gone to the TMO even if he wanted to.
He could have played it as accidental offside like he did earlier in the game - I was surprised he didn't give that as offside.

Agreed, they should have thrown to the front and secured the ball. They could have carted it up with 3 or 4 pick & go's then kicked for the corner.
An important line out in he rain is a not a time to throw to the back.

Argentina were all over Ireland early on and they didn't relent, defending hard right at the death. Aussie beating Argentina is far from a given.

Pocock is massive for aussie though, they will be a different team if he plays.

LOL. I heard that the next Avengers movie, Chuck Norris is the Villian and after being easily defeated, the avengers call Richie, and upon doing so, Chuck see's the error of his ways and admits defeat.

Yes, they actually made 2-3 really poor decisions, there was a SHOCKER over the otherside when one of the players was under pressure to clear on his goal line ,and instead threw a STUPID pass to someone under even more pressure who was bundled into touch. I think the Wallabies scored from a line out drive from that.
