I'm heading over to Shenzhen next month on Air China. AKL > PEK is business and PEK > SZX is apparently First Class.

It's one of those super PITA flights requires me to be at the airport right when peak hour traffic will hit so I'm thinking of heading out there a bit earlier. I can't for the life of me however, figure out whether I can access a lounge in Auckland.

AirNZ website states that customers enjoy reciprocal frequent flyer benefits such as loyalty points and lounge access under their alliance, but I didn't book via AirNZ, so I'm not sure if this applies in my case.

Air China's callcenter had no idea and asked me to call the Auckland Airport office who don't answer their phones. Has anyone ever flown a flight like this? I know it sounds very snobby but I'm not really down for sitting around an airport gate for 3-ish hours!

If you have *G status then you'll have access to Koru regardless on class flown as Air China are a *A carrier and all Air NZ lounges are *G lounges.

As you're flying Air China Business you will have access to Koru based on the business class ticket which is nothing do to with the NZ alliance.
