kingdragonfly: Always a class act, Trump cursed and trash talked various people during a Boy Scout National Jamboree.

From Michael Surbaugh, the Chief Scout Executive for the Boy Scouts of America

"We know the past few days have been overshadowed by the remarks offered by the President of the United States.

I want to extend my sincere apologies to those in our Scouting family who were offended by the political rhetoric that was inserted into the jamboree.

That was never our intent.

The invitation for the sitting U.S. President to visit the National Jamboree is a long-standing tradition that has been extended to the leader of our nation that has had a Jamboree during his term since 1937.

It is in no way an endorsement of any person, party or policies.

For years, people have called upon us to take a position on political issues, and we have steadfastly remained non-partisan and refused to comment on political matters.

We sincerely regret that politics were inserted into the Scouting program."

Can't be many sectors of the community left that are untouched.

The scouting boss must have been mortified. Hope they revise their invitation policy.

But, how low can Trump go? He surely has to be certifiable not to recognise how inappropriate his tirade was.

Perhaps, yep. he makes the mistake of carrying over his business hardline approach.

But, he either isn't doing anything, or what he does bleeds votes, such as this or the LGBT issue a day or so earlier

I quite like this Republican comment on Trump's tweet:

‘This is like someone told the White House to light a candle on the table and the WH set the whole table on fire,’ a senior House Republican aide said in an email.

The new White House Communications Director seems like a completely sane and not at all paranoid fella.

When does anyone have time to work? They're all too busy chasing each other's tails.

A classless act...

One by one, we are finding the illegal gang members, drug dealers, thieves, robbers, criminals, and killers. And we are sending them the hell back home where they came from. [applause] And once they are gone, we will never let them back in, believe me. [applause]

The predators and criminal aliens who poison our communities with drugs and prey on innocent young people — these beautiful, beautiful, innocent young people — will find no safe haven anywhere in our country. [applause] And you’ve seen the stories about some of these animals. They don’t want to use guns, because it’s too fast and it’s not painful enough. So they’ll take a young, beautiful girl, 16, 15, and others, and they slice them and dice them with a knife, because they want them to go through excruciating pain before they die. And these are the animals that we’ve been protecting for so long. Well, they’re not being protected any longer, folks. [applause]

Trump is certainly evil but he is also crazy. He does and says things that simply don't make sense and actually work against his own interests. He doesn't think things through, as with his transgender tweets. He may be incapable of thinking things through. His appointments are self-destructive. His administration is in the process of imploding. I don't dare try to predict what will ultimately happen, but I do not see how he can possibly serve out his term. Something is going to give.

As much as I despise him, I don't think I would say he is evil or crazy. I think he is extremely narcissistic but also has an obvious cognitive impairment of some kind - the two of which together explain most, if not all of his behavior.

He sounds like an ideal Comms Director for Trump, in the same way that Trump sounds like an ideal POTUS.

What a piece of work, this new Communications Director

"‘The Mooch’, as he is known, said: “They’ll all be fired by me. I fired one guy the other day. I have three to four people I’ll fire tomorrow. I’ll get to the person who leaked that to you. Reince Priebus – if you want to leak something – he’ll be asked to resign very shortly.”"

On Thursday Scaramucci promised to contact investigators over what he said was an illegal leak of his financial disclosure form. The comment came in a tweet that mentioned the Twitter handle of Priebus. After deleting the tweet, Scaramucci denied that it was a threat to the chief of staff.

Scaramucci told the New Yorker he had called the FBI and justice department and, describing himself in the third person – as Trump sometimes does – he continued: “The swamp will not defeat him. They’re trying to resist me, but it’s not going to work. I’ve done nothing wrong on my financial disclosures, so they’re going to have to go fuck themselves.”

It later became clear that Scaramucci’s financial disclosure form had not in fact been leaked. It was released after a public records request by the Politico website.

Excrement floats at the same level. Scaramucci seems like a perfect fit with Trump. Maybe together they will achieve critical mass and finally put an end to this whole sorry spectacle.

The original article in The New Yorker is here.

He behaves as he looks - a crooked foul-mouthed slick-dressing Wall St huckster - and bare-faced liar.

It'd be interesting to see what core Trumpists think about him
