An old article about cheating.

I think it's relevant Trump's and his apologists' reactions to winning the election by cheating.

I love the Kim Jong meme laughing There's always some wag ready to throw your 'best' words back at you.

KingDragonFly mention Elon Musk a few posts back.  Just a few days ago I hung a positive comment on one of his YouTube videos, but I have gone right off him after his Cave Boy rant.  It doesn't matter how rich you are.  It shows poor judgment to refer to someone in the public eye as a 'pedo'.  I mean I like that he floated his torpedo idea, but anyone who'd been following the story would know that it was not a practical solution.  We knew there were some 'very' tight corners, and that a ridged cylinder would not have been able to get past them, but it also looked like the torpedo would have been difficult to carry through the dry sections, and most crucial of all, it would have been impossible for the doctor to monitor the boys from outside the cylinder.

It also surprised me that after it was over, the rescue team fessed up that they expected to lose up to five of the boys because it was such a difficult rescue.  Those poor Cave Creek families.  What must they be thinking?

It's good to hear from a real President for a change.  wink

Some Republicans would probably be happier with Mitt Romney right now - maybe even Obama!

Even I would be happier with Mitt Romney right now. Oh, for a billionaire Mormon to show us the way!

According to Gallup's presidential approval poll (weekly poll published on Tuesdays) Trump's approval is at 43%.

Margin on error is +/- 3%.

I'll wager that his flirting with treason won't make any difference - that next Tuesday his approval will still be over 40%.

The world has a serious problem - it's not just the USA's problem.

I was thinking that today, the aftermath poll.

I dont see him as a world problem. There is no WW3, no wall, Hillary isnt eating bread and water. The disenfranchised famous was a problem. The Paris Accord will be re joined. Tariffs will be cancelled within 5 minutes of a new POTUS, REP or DEM. The most damage he has dome is to himself and the US, thats fine with me.

Election Time. So much to campaign on by a new REP nominee and the DEM's. The new POTUS will gain so much support by repairing it all.

Disclaimer is assuming there is a new POTUS

Seven Sharp tonight. The Queen, who loves brooches, wore three on her meetings with Trump. The first was worn at the funeral of her father. The second was a gift from Canada, the third was a gift from Barack Obama. She is not stupid, I'm sure it was planned. A deep and subtle protest.

Donald does not understand subtlety - he probably didn't notice (or care).  undecided

I think we can look forward to two new reality T.V. shows in 2019.

Series one will be 'Prezzy Limo Swap'. Donald and Vladimir will swap presidential vehicles for a month.

Series two will be 'Prezzy Plane Swap' Vlad and Don will swap planes for a month.

Each series will include swapping technology & knowledge used in the making of the planes and cars.

Boris Johnson may organise a collaboration with Top Gear & have the presidents drive the cars on the Top Gear track.

More on Butina:

In court papers, prosecutors said her only tie to the U.S. is a "personal relationship" with an unidentified man whose description matches that of Republican operative Paul Erickson, according to the Washington Post.
Although Butina lived with the man, the relationship was "duplicitous," prosecutors said, suggesting that she had no real interest in him and was using him to further her goals.

"Butina appears to treat it [the relationship] as simply a necessary aspect of her activities," the prosecutors' memo said.
"For example, on at least one occasion, Butina offered an individual other than U.S. Person 1 sex in exchange for a position within a special interest organization. Further, in papers seized by the FBI, Butina complained about living with U.S. Person 1 and expressed disdain for continuing to cohabitate with U.S. Person 1."

I think I saw this plot on a TV show, set in a different decade, it was KGB not FSB, USSR not Russia.  Great show - 8.4 on IMDB.

BBC - White House insists Trump believes Russia still a threat

A White House official has denied that the president thinks Russia is no longer a threat to the US, hours after he appeared to say Moscow was not.

During a cabinet meeting, a reporter asked if Russia was still targeting the US, to which President Donald Trump answered: "Thank you very much, no".

Later, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said Mr Trump was saying "no" to answering any more questions.

Flip-flop, flip-flop, flip-flop ...
