Well this makes it hard to set up a new router or troubleshoot my existing one.

Can't say I've had a pleasant experience so far. Which is a bummer because it's the exact kind of service I want.

Been down since 16:45 in Christchurch.
I can do some Google searches now, but I still can't load sites like trademe or even Quic's own status page.

I wanted to look up a nearby 4G tower for backup.

I didn't know gis.geek.nz is also hosted on Vetta/Quic :)

Lol yeah it certainly is hosted via Quic. Major issues at the moment, but I have it on good authority they're committing 100% resources to it.

This is a longer than average outage. I'd expect more than just "investigating" after more than 2h.

It looks like the connection back to AWS has been recovered.

I notice that the node 103.139.184.35 have had quite a bit of issues in the last few outages.

I hope the team can implement a permanent solution soon.

They're extremely up front on the reports, dunno about you, but I'd be happy with focus being on restoration of service than updating the page, that one less hand doing the important part just to give us some fluffies on how it's going

"Our team have identified the issue and are working through resolutions."

Edit: It appears to be back up, at least in Whakatane.

They're extremely up front on the reports but the reliability of my connection since I switched to Quic has been pretty terrible. Bad enough that I'm considering switching again.
