I've not had a chance to fully test things yet but my series and program recordings have re-appeared having disappeared the day after I put them in.

Hey can you please be a little more specific about this.  Do you mean you applied the update, scheduled a series recording, they then disappeared, and reappeared the following day?

Or do you mean you scheduled a series pre-update, applied the update, then they reappeared the day after?

I guess this is pretty important to understand.

i don't suppose this has rectified issues with 3rd party epg apps like bladerunner?

The latter. Haven't had a chance to test whether it records properly...

Thanks.  That is further evidence that this new update fixes our scheduled recording issue.  Nice!

Well it looks good so far!

Scheduled a couple of recordings this afternoon and they have woken up the HTPC and recorded OK.
I have set it to record two programs at the same time tonight so will see what happens with that.
I'm just using two DVB-S cards for Freeview.

Well the scheduled recordings worked OK!
Except the one I did last night where I scheduled two recordings at the same time.
One of them recorded but the other didn't.
I think it may have something to do with the fact that I have a Linksys extender and it is not releasing the tuner even when turned off.
As the tuner was in use VMC could not use it to record the second program.
Anyone else have this problem?

Last night's scheduled recordings appear to have fired off properly which is good news.

Not so good news is the strange and bizarre loss of my bootloader that happened during my TV Pack install repeated itself overnight. I can't pinpoint why it's happening but I've never ever had it happen before reinstalling for TV Pack.

The other oddity is that TV Pack seems to have different ideas about what constitutes widescreen. I'vehad to go in and manually set the resolution for it to accept my "widescreen" setup setting. This works fine for the satellite material but now my Sky input (widescreen at the STB) is coming through letterboxed and I have no idea how to fix it.

Have you gone into the More/Info menu while playing a stream from Sky STB and changed the zoom setting?

Yes of course. Thie thing is I have a PVR-150 on the end of my Sky STB. This is letterboxing despite the VMC and STB both being set to widescreen. I also have an HVR3000 pulling Freeview off of satellite and this is correctly displaying widescreen. In other words one works right and the other doesn't.

It's not clear to me if I zoom the Sky material whether I'm going to disrupt my Freeview and whether this setting will stick or has to be reapplied. Also will zooming the content do what I want i.e. display the material fully or is it zooming something that has had lines dropped and thus lose quality.

Everything else I play is showing widescreen correctly so it's localised somehow just to the Sky/STB/PVR150 stuff.

Hmm, how are people still finding this update?  Is it still working for you?

I applied it a few days ago and all seemed fine until today.  Two of my other half's series failed to record today and boy did I get it!  And no, she didn't give me the good 'getting it'...

I've had to go back to my Sky EPG workaround...
