I really have no idea what to look for in a tv, other than full HD, usb, more than 1 hdmi port and LCD (personal preference). I won't purchase Samsung (too many friends/family with them breaking down) or Sony (overpriced for what they are, IMO).

Is this tv any good? Why or why not? Is there something else I should be taking into consideration? I tried googling this model for reviews and really couldn't find anything; the model doesn't show up in a geekzone search either. Thanks.

I guess the questions are...
What would you like to watch on TV? Sports... movies... Coronation St...
What will you plug in? (DVD / BluRay / PS3 / Home Theatre / Media Player etc)
What do you want to use the USB for? Music? Watching videos?
How far will you be sitting from the TV?
Oh and far, far more questions.

Then we can tell you whether it's the right TV, or if you should be looking elsewhere.

It has a green panel. Turn it off and you will see. Don't buy.

Save more dosh for an TH-P42ST30 you will be stoked.
Darker panel, motion processor very nice 42" TV.

Oh crap I just saw the L in the model number! And LCD in topic title! Too early for this! The first part I wrote refers to the TH-P42U30Z, my bad.

In that case don't buy the lcd and go for the TH-P42U30Z anyway much better TV, then don't buy that and just go for TH-P42ST30Z! LOL!!!Wink
