I did receive sbs almost all times (except in bad weather) but on this trip to Auckland it does not work
The signal strength is one and the is bad or no signal

It was fine last month (October)

Check your LNB Alignment. It was working fine for me in Auckland on an old Sky dish last night

OK at 5.30 pm in Auckland but I have noticed lots of break up over the past few nites. Most likely weather related..

It has been windy the last couple of days in Auckland.

The signal (on the system reboot ) has moved from 3pc to 80pc but it is still pixelated with the sound coming in and out
It's the sort of signal I would get when the weather is bad but the weather seems fine now

At least it is that good that you are getting a signal I like the sbs and miss it when I am not in Queensland

Apsattv mailing list reported a drop in SBS TP power levels last week. On my 90cm it comes in @ about 60% clear in gisborne, was 70-75% last week before power drop.

Tonight the SBS reception has improved substantially and it appears to be almost perfect
A big improvement on last night and earlier today

It has been lost to me (in Auckland, using old sky dish) since the first post in this thread (late Nov).

I bought a signal checker; all LEDs and the buzzer go off to indicate that I'm getting good signals out of Optus DI and the other aus channels I get are all fine.

It looks as though SBS might have found a way to attenuate the signal so that it covers only the intended area - lucky Tasmanians; unlucky for some NZers

Your LNB might be almost dead. I recently moved and had to replace the original SKY LNB with a new one to get reliable SBS.

I am still getting SBS 1 and 2 OK however as other posters have noted I have also been noticing some signal breakup over the last couple of weeks. According to Lyngsat:

http://www.lyngsat.com/optusd1.html

SBS is transmitted on the same beam (NANZ) as Nine, Go and Gem so I would have thought that any change to the broadcast would have affected these other channels too??? but for me at leat they are fine. I am not an expert though so feel free to correct me.

Shhhh don't name those channels while the cricket is on one of them!
Those channels are still going good for me but I believe they're on a different transponder
A new lnb could be worth a go, I guess

As of now, in Wellington with a 65cm ex sky dish, I am getting the sbs channels with a signal quality of 94. Signal level is 100, but, I'm not sure if that figure is accurate. No drop outs at all.
