Samsung Tab S 10.5. Best screen. Light and thin. Expandable.

Or, maybe Surface 3... Hmmm. Now you have me thinking.

My views (except when I am looking out their windows) are not those of my employer.

apparently they are a really nice build

I've got a flash Galaxy TAB S and an old iPad 2.
I still prefer to use the iPad, dunno it just seems more relaxing, no nonsense (applicance like), than the android, that feels more like using a 'computer' (not much fun).

my 2c

EDIT: Also the apps are better optimized (for performance and the screen size), and updates happen way way way faster.

I have the Tab S 10.5" and the Surface Pro 3. I used to grab the Tab S to consume content, the laptop or PC to author content, now I just grab the Surface Pro to do everything. Don't use the Tab S much at all now.

One of the things I liked about the apple was the brilliant screen. I have a Venue 7 on my desk that I use as a sms device etc the screen is terrible. I really see the diffrence when I swap between the two.

Q1 What is the screen like on the surface models?
Q2 Is it the surface that you can use a "s" type pen on?

Hang on I have just realised you are talking about the "pro" 3
There is another one due out anyday that seems to be getting a lot of press that was the one that will sell for 799

I bought a Nexus 9 last month so I could create an Android port of my game. The light leaks around the edges. Android 5 likes to not respond to my double-tapping to wake the screen more often than I prefer, and sometimes even the notification/login-PIN screen just doesn't respond, and I have to tap this way and that to get it going properly. It's a fast, powerful device, but there's a few nagging problems that leave me longing for an iPad.

What about this new Nvidia Shield thingy that has just been released in the states? There seems to be a fair bit of praise for that and they are going for 299usd on amazon. anyone got one?
