The 'permanent' battery in my notebook is on the way out. I like the computer and there is nothing else wrong with it. I can probably replace the battery myself. I bought the notebook in the USA and as far as I know it is not a model that is available here. Can anyone tell me how to go about finding and purchasing a replacement battery? The computer is an Acer V3-112p.

Best option would be look on Amazon or ebay (Try and find a genuine spare part there cheap lithium batteries are never great) and follow a guide on youtube (a quick google shows plenty of guides how to replace it).

If you can get a model number try contacting simpower, they do all sorts and custom builds for batteries

Keep in mind there's a chance it may get confiscated at customs , due to lithium batt airfreight laws . Both overseas & in NZ .
Just because they send it, doesnt mean it will actually make it out of the country .

 

I learnt that the hard way , Ive had a few packages rejected at the Ch boarder , one package rejected just because they thought it had a batt in (it didnt)
