I have recently got my htc 8525 working on XT.  Text and voice great.  I can't seem to figure out how to set up the data connections.  Wifi is great but I want to be able to use the facebook app.  Help would be greatly appreciated.  Cheers.

On your device tap Start | Settings | Connections | Connections | Advanced.

Tap Select Networks and New. Enter a name "Telecom NZ" and tap Modem. Tap New, enter a name for that modem "Telecom NZ", select Cellular Line (GPRS, 3G).

Tap Next and enter the Access Point Name (APN), tap Next and leave fields empty. Tap Finish.

Make sure this new modem is selected in the list and tap OK.

Back on the first screen make sure both "Program that automatically connect to the Internet" and "Programs that automatically connect to a private network" have the new connection selected then tap OK.

This is now your default Internet connection and it should just work.

You are the man, thanks so much.  I've waited almost a year to get this thing up and
running and now it's brilliant!
