Is it possible to port a prepaid mobile number back to Telecom over the phone through Telecom Customer Services or online? I have a Telecom sim card.  It would be coming from the 2 Degrees network back to Telecom who it was with until i ported it probably 2 months ago.  When i brought the new phone i was told they (who are a department store) could not do it and to take it to a Telecom dealership, however the Telecom dealership said they charge for the service, just wondered if it can be done over the phone?

Ring orther dealerships, as although some stores sharge for the service, I believe that they are not really supposed to.

Guys this is on our Telecom website:

"The price of switching your number to Telecom is...

It's free to bring your current mobile phone number when you join the Telecom XT Mobile Network. We suggest you check with your current provider that there's no early termination fee if you're on a monthly plan."

http://www.telecom.co.nz/keepmynumber

If anyone is charging you to bring your number to Telecom. Please feel free to PM me details and I will investigate further.
