Can see the Telecom 700mhz sites in the Waikato with the latest update, interesting they are not deploying 1800mhz LTE at the same time

I was thinking the exact same thing eh. Have just noticed all of the dates are stuffed up, they're not like that in the raw data, will have to fix that.

A few new 2degrees 1800 sites, looks like they are starting the 4G race.
Can't find any Vodafone 700 yet. They have a few 1800 sites in interesting places though.

No 700Mhz Telecom licenses coming through during the RSM DB Stage, could be my bad though. Two 2Degrees, 48 Telecom: http://tny.cz/f2a81258

Looking out Helensville way it seems the Vodafone/2D transmitters were commissioned in the future and decommissioned in the past (i.e. date swap ;)), seems to cover at least Westgate through to Waitoki.

Great to see some up to date maps though, really wish Vodafone would move that darn Woodhill site out of Reweti and back to Waimauku for some decent coverage around here (hint, hint) though.

I strongly suspect that Vodafone will be hot on the heels of Telecom and 2Degrees for test licenses

Nigel - Where are you pulling the Helensville infomation from - is it from RSM

Agree about the Woodhill site. There is supposed to be a Kumeu West site comming at some point but it looks like next year rather than this year.

The red/yellow dots on stubbed's maps (gis.geek.nz) generated from RSM data, there seems to be a data entry issue somewhere, clicking on say the Woodhill site, comes up with 'Commenced: 2166-10-31 Expires: 1999-11-30' which is reversed to the correct presentation of Telecom data.

'Kumeu West' sounds promising, but if Vodafone placement in the area is anything to go by, my bet would be somewhere around Kauri Cres.

Fantastic news ((/placement) for me at least)! Hopefully this means that the next "We've improved the signal in your area" direct mail item won't be a WTF.

Band 7? I am assuming VF use: 2555-2575MHz and 2675-2690MHz as per RSM?

EDIT: Found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E-UTRA#Frequency_bands_and_channel_bandwidths
